Part of this is practical, as Bootleg is robotic in nature and Honeywell is an accomplished roboticist. However, rumors have suggested that the two knew each other prior to being teammates, prior to being in the shadows together, and even prior to Honeywell joining the Lift’s roster. Neither have commented publicly, but they are frequently seen talking and standing together at games and other social events. [...] All three of Honeywell's children also appear to be close with Bootleg."

I propose to add an article summarised as: Bootleg is a synthetic humanoid of presumed extra-terrestrial origin; they gain new abilities and personality traits by connecting plug-and-play modules; they arrived on Earth by a mishap of their own making; they are implied to be playing with the Tokyo Lift only until they can return to their orbiting space station.
