Railroad Runner

The Railroad Runner is a species of flightless bird that runs on two legs at speeds comparable to that of a speeding locomotive.
Appearance
Their most distinctive feature is that they are often made out of strange materials (Such as wood or stone) or have unique features distinct from Runner to Runner (Such as extra legs, wings, or exceptional size).
Behavior
They roam the Plains and Savannas near the many Railroad tracks that criss-cross the Core, mainly subsisting on roots, fruits, and scavenged meats. But the delicacy they favour most is the marrow filled bones of their natural enemy, the Wiry Coyote. They do not stand a chance in a straight one-on-one confrontation, their hunting tactics rely on aggravating/taunting the Wiry Coyotes into making ill-advised plans and striking when the Coyotes are weakened by the plans backfiring. They are extremely intelligent, loyal, can make excellent mounts if they bond with the rider, and if made of the right material are nigh indestructible.

- Extreme Size.
- Plumage Pattern resembling Flames.
- Vibrant Blue Plumage.
- Wooden resembling a barrel, with a hollow back resembling a boat.
- Made of a Dark Obsidian/Slate stone.
