Modifications are a new UI element added following the Season 4 elections. Modifications are buffs, debuffs, and statuses added to players and teams, and they last for varying amounts of time.

Duration

There are two known durations that a modification can be, Permanent and Season.

Permanent modifications are never removed automatically.

Season modifications are removed after a single season of the Internet Series ends.

Types of Modifications

There are currently two known Modifications that a player or team can have.

  • Targeted Shame, a Team modification.
    • Teams with Targeted Shame will start with negative runs the game after being shamed.
    • Targeted Shame is a Season-length modification.
  • Alternate, a Player modification.
    • This player is an Alternate...
    • Alternate was added to Blaseball in the Season 4 elections, when the Decree Alternate Reality was voted into effect, which randomized a batter and pitcher from every team. Any players who were randomly selected as a result from this decree have the Alternate modification.
    • Alternate is a Permanent-length modification.
