Gunther O'Brian is a pitcher for the Charleston Shoe Thieves.
O'Brian replaced pitcher Matteo Prestige following their delacing in Season 3. O'Brian is best known for their peculiar pitching philosophy, believing that every batter deserves a chance to do their best, regardless of team. When asked about their poor performance on the mound in an interview, O'Brian replied "Aw shucks, I know I'm supposed to try and strike them out but when I see somebody at the plate all full of hope and determination and veins just absolutely lousy with blood and blaseball spirit, I just wanna help them be the best batter they can possibly be and really whack that splorts sphere right out of the stadium.
