Axel is too cool for blaseball. So much so, in fact, that he regrets ever joining. He does not try, because this would be uncool. He hopes for incineration.
Although Cardenas vehemently denies any feelings, including romantic ones, he has been spotted several times in The Local Diner with his presumed boyfriend and tire-rat gestalt intelligence Miguel Wheeler, sipping buffalo flavored milkshakes.
