Topic on Talk:Hester Scythe

From Blaseball Wiki

Here is my proposition. Also sorry for forgetting about talk pages it's been a year.

Appearance

Scythe’s appearance is that of a typical garden scythe. A long wooden shaft with a large curved blade. However, this is just Scythe’s base appearance. It changes appearance whenever a user becomes bonded to it.

Background

Scythe is said to be an “all powerful magical artifact” passed between generations of shepherds of the dead. How many people actually say this is still debated, but Scythe touts its powers frequently. Scythe is capable of levitation, speech and teleportation of exactly fifteen feet.

However, Scythe’s true powers are released when it bonds with a wielder. Scythe refers to the wielder as its “avatar”, allowing the wielder to tap into Scythe’s deep well of magical power. Wielders can levitate, speak telepathically or teleport like Scythe can while dormant, in addition to the hidden powers it offers.

Scythe however is a fickle sickle, and has a habit of unbonding from avatars it finds unworthy. Known records show the following reasons for unbonding: refusing to reap a ripe soul, failing to properly sharpen Scythe’s blade, and taking too long in the shower. However, once a bond is established, Scythe is able to turn it back on at will.

While Scythe claims to be one of the most powerful reaper’s scythes in existence, used by famous grim reapers across the millennia, Scythe was last seen being used as a training tool for new reapers at Breckenridge Community College. Scythe refused to comment on how it ended up there, but the staff informed the press that Scythe was dropped off at the college as a result of its gaming habits.

Scythe is an avid PC gamer, recently becoming interested in Flinal Flantasy Flourteen. However, the game’s strict rules on using modifications or magic while playing prohibit Scythe from playing without being banned. This requires Scythe’s avatar to play in its stead.
