Backpatch (specifically the B.D./human IRM) is mentioned in a new IRM proposal for Gloria Bugsnax as someone that Gloria is very close with:
"This role led to xem being the first to befriend B.D. Rolsenthal when vi joined the team. Bugsnax and Rolsenthal’s relationship has been subject to no small amount of media speculation, ranging from a secret marriage to queerplatonic partners to a normal pair of roommates; both of them refuse to comment."
