There have been a few pieces of lore floating around about Firestar. They weren't alive for long, but we wound up deciding that Norris and Yrjö (their replacement) were close friends before Blaseball. I wanted to add a personal history section to Norris' wiki page so here's a summary of that!
- Norris Firestar is a shapeshifting mix of a cat, pigeon, and phoenix. He was an action movie star before he was a Blaseball player.
- The Spies don't have many official records of Firestar outside of film and TV magazine articles. (There could be a list of titles they starred in!)
- The spy-related movies they starred in never featured any spying. Think Vin Diesel and Vin Diesel facts- similar facts about Firestar are also shared between Spies. Their agent was mixed up with the Agency.
- Despite changing between forms at will, they were easily recognised outside of the League. Norris was mediocre at best during play, however. They were incinerated quickly and mostly forgotten about.
- They were happy to just have fun with the game.
- Yrjö Kerfuffle replaced Firestar post-incineration. The two are close friends and a similar species. Because of Firestar's phoenix-like nature, Yrjö pulled a small Norris out from the ash. Another part of Norris is in the Hall somewhere.
- As Holloway was with the Spies since the beginning, most players remained distant from Firestar. Only a few others approached them. Donia Bailey was furious that Firestar replaced her old friend.
- Most of the Spies have come to accept the new, smaller Norris. Yrjö and the Agency are keeping them safe while they recover.
