Bobbin moss is a trans woman who was basically like "haha I love moss so much" before being like "wouldn't it be cool if i changed my last name to moss?" before eventually actually incorporating moss into/onto their body. This was possible not due to any sort of knowledge of botany, but mostly because she's a grimy little swamp girl who just vibed with the moss so hard that they fused. A native Floridian, Bobbin benefits greatly from the incorporation of local flora into their body, managing to use both photosynthesis and cellular respiration to maximise her energy, allowing her to potentially go for long periods of time after eating little to no food.
i know that another use has plans for Bobbin to be a genderfluid club singer, so my goal here is to just kind of incorporate this idea alongside that one, if possible. if not I'll happily flesh out this alternate interpretation further
