Hiroto was there to support Zion in explaining to the Cashmoneys (at separate times) that, as replicas, they were going to break down/fade away. Hiroto felt obligated to be there as the captain, but this kind of thing is outside of her wheelhouse, leaving her wondering if she did any good (and instead resolving that she should make the Cashmoneys have the best time they could).
