Topic on Talk:Flattery McKinley

From Blaseball Wiki

Since pages for members of the Georgias are gonna be opening up soon, I figured I should coalesce all my ideas for Flattery in preparation for their page unlocking, because I've been thinking about them way too much. Keep in mind not everything here is totally solid, there's a couple things I'm leaving kind of vague for more open interpretation and in case of changes in the future, but I think that I've gotten the general gist of who this character is.

  • A terran biologist (specializes in land animals) from a deep sea region of Atlantis. Lesbian, married to Niq Nyong'o. Likely somewhere in their 40s.
  • Physical description in mind is deep-sea merperson, slightly glowing skin, sharp teeth, asymmetrical appearance with one tentacle arm and one tentacle leg, hair resembling an entire octopus, but whether it's part of them or a symbiotic organism is unclear.
  • Definitely uses they/them and she/her pronouns, might also use he/him? Might just use any pronouns, I don't know if they're especially picky.
  • Autistic, considers terran biology something of a special interest, has been studying it from a young age, one of the leading experts on the subject in Atlantean society.
  • Met Niq as a castaway when she was on a marine biology expedition. Checked in on her regularly, where the two exchanged common knowledge of each others' worlds to help each other with their research.
  • Lives with Niq in a submarine that they've decorated to feel more homey.
  • Mostly joined Blaseball as an excuse to study local wildlife during away games, does this during games when they're not pitching. Especially enjoys visiting Yellowstone and Ohio.
  • Thinks of themself as a researcher more than a Blaseball player, might contribute to why they aren't an especially good player?
  • Occasionally a bit bitter and stubborn, but has hearts of gold, initially a bit standoffish but can be a very excitable and kind person if you get to know them better.
  • Drinks way too much Ooze!, to a point that it's almost a bit concerning. In stark contrast with Niq, who dislikes Ooze!
