Appearance

A fully metallic creature that takes the form of a many segmented worm. Their exteriors are usually composed of a brass or tin-like material, though examples comprised of steel, gold, and ceramic have been documented. Inside each segment is an incredibly complex self-assembling clockwork mechanism, the full nature of which has still eluded UP mechanics to this day. Each worm has a unique gear-configuration, although lineages can be traced by comparing their internal structures.

Behavior

Clockworms are often found gnawing their way through gearboxes, much to the chagrin of many mechanics. If left unchecked, a clockworm will grow to incredible sizes, with one notable specimen recorded to have worked its way through 4 stories of a clocktower.
