tacos big lore update crossposting

Sandy is mentioned on the fresh new page for Son Jensen (accessible from here: https://www.blaseball.wiki/w/Talk:Son_Jensen), largely due to Son's close relationship with Nicholas Vincent.

  • Relevant text, in the relationships on the beams section: "Vincent had previously told Jensen about Sandoval Crossing, so Jensen sought her out upon arrival. Crossing also has experience with temporal displacement and retrocausal memory effects, making her a great mentor for Jensen, and had heard stories about Jensen from Vincent."

Post-siesta page revamp

Hello! Other than a few additions, Sandoval's page has remained mostly unchanged, increasingly unwieldy, and not especially reflective of the lore that's been communally generated for them over the Extended Siesta in the Solarium and on Twitter. To that effect, I'd like to make some structural changes to the page, some major lore additions, and a few minor deletions (which were my addition in the first place anyhow back on Fandom Wiki):

Layout+Lore changes

  • Add an "early life" section detailing Sandy's relationship with Rhys and Velasquez, their claims they just showed up by falling through a time hole, previous work as an elementary school crossing guard, and at some point prior to the opening of the Forbidden Book taking on Sol/the Sun as a patron.'
  • Add "Early blaseball career" section, detailing the opening of the Forbidden Book, the swallowing of Moab by the Hellmouth, and Sandoval halting the Hellmouth's advance and absorbing the ghosts of Moab (including the spirit of the Moab Desert itself) with power granted from the Sun. Their pregame ritual of Journalling is, in fact, a way of processing all the ghosts Sandoval now plays host to, recording their memories of the town so they may finally move on (with assistance from their psychopomp husband Velasquez Meadows). Note that the incineration of both of his husbands in early Season 3 coincides with his topping the leaderboard for greatest number of strikeouts that season, and establishing his reputation throughout the Discipline Era as one of the best pitchers in the League.
  • Add "The Discipline Era" section, detailing some of Crossing's career highlights, strained and sporadic communications with their husbands in the Hall of Flame due to their solar essence interfering with Velasquez's lunar essence, their role as de facto captain of the team and chief strategist with some backup from Nerd, until the arrival of Hahn Fox who became co-captain followed by batting captain. Became roommates with Sutton Bishop until their incineration in Season 13. Was debilitatingly affected by the death of Sol in Season 10 at the hands of Tot Fox, but has since appeared to have regained their "sun warlock" abilities (whatever that entails).
  • Add "The Expansion Era" section, with Crossing's drastic underperformance compared to their previous highs mostly due to peanut shortage, then also with the Beams' complete loss of impulse control following the shelling of Nerd Pacheco.

---

NB: The IRM will be deleted (as both 5778.2 and 5778.3 were my own additions, and most enduring aspects of these entries will be folded into the main article).

Minor changes

  • Article header text changed to reflect Sandoval's consistent performance across all pitching metrics throughout the discipline Era, instead of one record from S3
  • Pronouns will be changed to a mix of he/him, she/her, and they/them wherever possible while keeping clarity of writing, as Sandoval uses "any" pronouns.
  • Reference to "explosive temper tantrums after losing" in Trivia will be modified to "explosive, occasionally-incomprehensible post-game rituals", such as the already-mentioned shoe-burning.

Adding Perfect Game to League Records

Howdy! I'd like to add a blurb about Sandoval Crossing's season 11 perfect game to their page, seeing as it's an incredibly rare feat.

My edit would go after the season 10 paragraph, and be worded as follows:

During Season 11, on Day 26, Crossing threw only the 3rd perfect game in recorded blaseball history. They recorded 7 strikeouts against the Tokyo Lift in a 2-0 double win.

Hi, there was some discussion on the old talk page expanding the Desert Sandy version. It didn't go through before the migration, but I think it's still a good idea.

Also, Sandy uses any pronouns, but the wiki page mostly uses 'he'. Is it okay if I change that?
