i notice that players with cool names like inky rutledge or jessica telephone tend to get a lot of attention because wow! thats a cool name! and sure, it is, but please consider: pippin carpenter is a carpenter. not only is it a cool skill, they can be very buff (wow!) and cool. i think this would be cool.

i have never posted to blaseball forum discussions, please be gentle with me. and pippin also.

Honestly taking names literally is very fun. Anyway, yeah, having Pippin as a buff carpenter wood definitely be fun! (ba-dum-tiss) Having them then do things like bring 2x4 boards to use as bats, and wearing safety glasses all the time could also be fun.
