Update for Rumour Mill Template

Looking to update Nagomi's IRM template to a filebox to get that up and running again!

Sav (talkcontribs)

Hello! Here with a proposal regarding Nagomi's time on the Dale. It covers her rather unorthodox transfer/recruitment and her performance/priorities while on the team. Read the full entry here!

Inumo (talkcontribs)

As indicated in this announcement, we are locking Nagomi Mcdaniel's page as part of Preservation efforts occurring on Blaseball.com. Any contributors who were in the process of developing lore for Nagomi Mcdaniel prior to their Preservation may still submit lore proposals, but the page will remain locked for editing except to add such lore. Lore must be written as if the contributors had no knowledge of what was coming after the end of Season 17, Day 99, and cannot extend beyond that point in time.

Revisiting Nagomi's Jazzhands/Crab transfer, and adding the Dream Game

1
UnabashedlyRose (talkcontribs)

Good evening beautiful people, I'm here with a fun new talk page based on some jamming between the Crabs and the Jazz Hands revisiting Nagomi's time bouncing between the two teams.

I've also bundled in some more details regarding her time on the Crabs in season 10, and the dream game since it was pretty iconic. The bridge the gap between Season 11 and the dream game, I sampled sections from Nagomi's longer IRM, so you are more than welcome to write over it if there are other details from the Fridays you would like to add in/change in that section.

The full text of the article is here for review, so let us know what you think!

Nagomi's Transfer to Seattle & then the shadows of Boston

Moom (talkcontribs)

Hopefully this is a good place for discussion of Nagomi's transfer. Fridays will be making a page for her wife shortly but an idea the team had was that she & Mrs Silk went on their honeymoon to Boston. We want the wives to stay together is our main thing.

Nagomi's Second Tenure with the Fridays

The Fridays intentionally didn't do lore during the Grand Siesta, so this is a paragraph intended as a jumping off point for us to examine what she's been doing with us in seasons 11 and 12 as well as over the Grand Siesta:

Nagomi Mcdaniel was returned to the Fridays after the Baltimore Crabs' historic Season 10 championship by the People's Champions blessing. After her arrival in the sovereign nation, Nagomi picked up right where she left off, though her past continued to impact her after the dramatic Day X showdown against The Shelled One. Nagomi now reportedly lives with Mrs. Silk, mother of Moist Talkers hitter York Silk. Despite working just as hard as she had before, her teammates sometimes find her missing an easy hit, and when asked what happened, she says only that she "flinched."

Reinstallation of Full Page IRM and Additional Entry

Glassgoblin (talkcontribs)

I'm looking to hopefully reinstall Nagomi's IRM along with a new entry into said IRM to help freshen up her wiki page a bit!

The entry covers Nagomi's origin up to the grand siesta and is an in-depth exploration of her experiences on the Tigers, Fridays, Jazz Hands, and Crabs. This entry is a combination of pre-existing wiki lore, general team headcanons, this specific design of Nagomi (https://twitter.com/glassgoblin/status/1354474644976394240?s=20), and in-game statistics. It also includes mentions of York Silk, Landry Violence, Valentine Games, Forrest Best, and other fan favorites-- fun stuff!

Although this entry does share some similarities with her current wiki entry, I would like to keep them separate out of respect for the original author.

Speaking as an individual Jazz Hand and not a mod, I really like this lore! You clearly put a lot of thought into everything, and I greatly appreciate how the Jazz Hands' ideas from when we had Mcdaniel are still present. :)

UnabashedlyRose (talkcontribs)

Bringing this one back for review since it never went through the Talk Pages, let us know if there's any feedback or changes anyone would like to suggest!

After Nagomi was Shelled by a disgruntled Peanut, it was found in her living will that were she to be incapacitated in any way besides incineration she wished to return to her beloved Baltimore to recuperate. Holden Stanton, having already participated in a Jazz Hands transfer, offered to fill her spot with the Hands in the meantime. The giant peanut shell that encased her was transported back to her home by the Chesapeake, where the Crabs tend to her, hoping one day she might be freed.

Orphaned Rumor: IF-9.866

2
Inumo (talkcontribs)

During the wiki migration, moderators noticed that the following rumor had been added to Nagomi Mcdaniel's IRM without prior Talk page discussion:

Once Nagomi's head was freed from her body, she shipped it back to Hawai'i via priority mail to be with Mrs. Silk. When asked how she was handling playing blaseball without being able to keep an eye on the ball, she responded "Why would I bother watching a ball when I could be looking at my wife instead?"

We are relocating it to the Talk page for discussion per our collaboration policy. If, after 24 hours have passed, there is no ongoing discussion about the rumor and the original author wants to re-attach it to the IRM, they may do so.

Inumo (talkcontribs)

Taking my moderator hat off and speaking as a Jazz Hand, just in case the original author actually does come by to claim this, I'm not a big fan of this rumor. While it's heavily implied that Nagomi Mcdaniel was decapitated as part of their carcinization, it's never made explicit, and certainly isn't particularly represented in any fanart of them. While I'm willing to let the implication ride, I don't really want that to be stated explicitly anywhere since it kinda squicks me out. Additionally, I don't like that (if this gets added to the IRM) it heavily depends on the central lore rumor that it would be replacing whenever it comes up in the shuffle.
