Mike is mentioned in proposed edits for Malik Destiny in that he shares a recipe for muffins with him for his cookbook.

I'm proposing we add an IRM in the same style as Abner Pothos, community rumors about what Mike gets up to in his downtime, written in journalistic style. Like so:

"Tonwsend and Trombone in a Tiff!"

Mike Townsend was spotted buying bread from Grand Central before today's game, much to the shock and awe of onlookers. "He usually bakes bread with Betsy before games, did they get into a fight?" one nosy tourist remarked.

Attempts to speak with Townsend on the matter was met with stammering before beating a hasty retreat into the shadows.

When asked for comment, Trombone was quoted saying "The fuck is it to you? I was busy, get off my back" before siccing their crows on the reporter.

Wrote an IRM entry detailing the time that Mike and Oliver Mueller got kicked out of a casino in space for cheating at cards. The entry is in the form of an incident report from the space casino.

I Love this idea!!!! I haven't fully finished writing these out yet, but here are my proposals for a few:

"No Fax Given: Townsend Spotted Bringing a Comically Large Hammer into the Big Garage Copy Room"

"LIL ROADIES LIL MAGAZINE EXCLUSIVE INVESTIGATION: What Secrets Lie Underneath Mike Townsend's Hat?"

This one based on that episode of Naruto where they're all trying to figure out what's under Kakashi's mask! It ends with Betsy Trombone convincing the Lil Roadies that it's a creature that controls Mike called Batatouille, and the Lil Roadies arguing about what creature Batatouille is.

"Our Favorite 23 Times Mike Townsend Wore His Own Merch 😍"

This one is based on those clickbait sites and the article is just a bit where you can't read the actual content of the article because there's too many ads

I wrote two of them!

The clickbait one can be seen on my userpage and is maybe my greatest work EVER! Quick hits include Mike wearing his merch to Olive's Garden as opposed to going to a real Italian restaurant, and a lot of silly advertisements and popups UserWiki:Apricots

And the one about what's underneath Mike's hat has the following beats:

• Someone named Tim U. (an allusion to Tim Uranus, a joke among some fans that Mike once had an 80s persona named Tim Uranus) writes in to the Lil Roadies Lil Magazine asking what's under Mike's hat
• Lil Roadie Kenneth Midcentury writes about the investigation, which includes lots of research and attempting to sneak into Mike's room at night
• Kenny Mid manages to track down Betsy Trombone and spontaneously interview them, where Betsy reveals that underneath Mike's hat is Batatouille, a creature that pilots Mike around by pulling his hair (you know, like Ratatouille)
  • It is implied that Betsy is probably making this up but the Lil Roadies take it as a fact
• The Lil Roadies then argue about if Batatouille is a rat like in their favorite movie RatatouiIIe, a bat like Rouge from Sonic, or a bat like a blaseball bat. They all agree that no matter which of these it is, it explains how Mike managed to be a good batter
• With the mystery solved, Kenny Mid signs off

Hi! Crossposting from Topic:Wr99sxb9j1gz2itb on the Dark Seattle Corporates page. This page has an IRM collection compiling some lore about versions of Garages and former Garages in the Dark Seattle universe.

I've created a sample entry for Mike here based on some existing lore about his four Mirrorside counterparts (Manager Mike, Baker Mike, Science Mike, and Sewer Mike). They will each be their own entry and will not be located on this page, but on the Corporates page itself.

Mike is mentioned in an update to sister!Lenny Marijuana's page. He was already on there but I'm crossposting here because there's some new content. Update to their early friendship:

After Mike Townsend retreated to the shadows, he and Marijuana became fast friends. Townsend helped her learn to play bass and helped her bleach her hair, resulting in most of it falling out. In return she pierced his ears, which got infected. This cemented their friendship. The two could often be found together in the shadows baking together, body modding, or watching reality television shows like Tlop Chlef.

Grand Siesta friendship:

Marijuana maintained her close friendship with Mike Townsend despite new barriers caused by his retreat to the shadows. The two of them would regularly bake “together”: one of them would assemble dough or batter and leave it in a refrigerator in the Big Garage for the other to bake.

And a handful of references to the Expansion Era and Mike's redaction:

She also kept close friendships with Hollywood and Townsend through their transfers to the Garages lineup.

She was heartbroken when Townsend was redacted, and made a public vow to find him, wherever he went.

Last reports from the Expansion Era say that Marijuana has left the Hall to explore the Black Hole, repeating her promise to find Townsend.

Mike Townsend is mentioned on Mathews's recent page update (found here: Kathy Mathews#Time with the Garages) as someone with whom Mathews talks shop in higher math and robotics.

The relevant section is:

After learning that Mike Townsend is quite knowledgeable in high-level mathematics and robotics, they occasionally stop by to discuss Zen and the art of eight-legged mech repair.

Spiritphone added to the first sentence of the Personal Life section such that it read, "Townsend was born and currently lives in Bellevue, Washington, with his boyfriend Tillman Henderson." (Addition bolded for clarity.) This was done without being posted on this Talk page and Henderson's Talk page, both of which are required per our contribution policies. The edit has been reverted, and is open for discussion presently. A cross-post will be made to Tillman Henderson's Talk page, though discussion should be centralized here for ease. Tillsend is a bit of a delicate subject among the Garages on discord, so if possible I'd like to discuss it a bit more with folks before it gets re-added.
