Hello, I am suggesting adding an IRM for Liquid Friend and in doing so installing an IRM template on this page. I would like to use the filebox format and move the current page's community lore content into the IRM.

For the actual IRM, here's the sparknotes summary of the interpretation (which has some overlap with the current page and goes up to but not including when Liquid entered the vault):

  • "Liquid Friend" is a professional pseudonym
  • Friend is a genderfluid Muwekma person (Any pronouns) from San Francisco
  • Friend is a private investigator
  • They have been married before but currently are not
  • Started BC Noir with this interpretation's Uncle Plasma who is Friend's actual uncle and otherwise does not feature heavily
  • Friend suggested BC Noir join the coffee cup
  • While on the Lovers, Friend befriended Parker Meng
  • Friend was concerned about the Investigation (namely lack of clues, further player redactions, and their own redaction)
  • Friend can't really remember their time redacted
  • Friend opened a BC Noir branch in Breckenridge inside The Drip/The Curtain Call (a coffee shop/bar inside The Pocket) and solves local mysteries while working on The Investigation
  • Several players are mentioned as coffee shop regulars: Walton Sports, Wyatt Pothos, Kathy Mathews, Steph Weeks, and Bauer Zimmerman
  • The Jazz Hands' Perk-having players, Elijah Valenzuela and Baby Doyle are minorly mentioned.
  • Trivia: Friend plays the saxophone and cannot park

A full copy of the suggested IRM contents can be found here: Google Doc

Also, @Sav @Inumo may I have this page unlocked?

Inumo (talkcontribs)

I was wondering if we'd missed unlocking any Preserved players... Should be good to go! Have fun!

Inumo (talkcontribs)

As with other Preserved players, Liquid Friend's page is locked for archival purposes. Should lore be missing for Friend, reach out to a moderator for assistance. Lore written for Friend should not extend beyond the Season 20 Elections, and should be written as though nobody knew what was coming.

Proposed Lore from the Jazz Hands

Hello! The Jazz Hands on the Official Blaseball Discord did some lore jamming, & this is the summary of what we came up with:

  • Liquid got swept up in Lowe Forbes' wake when they were returning from Elsewhere to a game in the Georgias' Bubble. Slosh was unceremoniously dumped from [REDACTED] to second base, and got batted home to join the Hands' Shadows.
  • Breck winters are cold, so the team set slosh up w/ lots of warm clothes and the heating element from an old kettle. Slosh spends slosh time volunteering at the Pocket Bar & working in slosh "larger than it should be" detective's office in the Pit. Officially, slosh office has a "no Lowe-gan Shenanigans" policy, but somehow slosh still seems to get called on to investigate regularly.
  • Slosh looks very noir, until slosh opens slosh mouth & reveals slosh just cannot swear, and instead says things like "golly gee willikers."
  • Slosh plays the alto sax & clarinet.
  • Slosh can become any liquid, & slosh mood/internal state affects that. Slosh may boil when angry, carbonate (i.e. get bubbly) when excited, etc.
  • Related, slosh chooses what liquid slosh is made of, and can choose when to absorb liquids (recognizing that this is a broader statement than it may seem).
  • Also related, nobody (including Liquid) is entirely sure of the extent of slosh shapeshifting abilities, though the leading theory is that slosh can become any shape and simply regularly chooses something humanoid (i.e. two arms, two legs, a torso, & a head).
  • Slosh bar frequently hosts the more "normal" members of the Hands, and slosh gets along well with those who are more down-to-earth & earnest (as opposed to those who are more unpredictable or mysterious).

A brief expansion of this, we also jammed on Riley Firewall with the Dale & Georgias of the main Discord and decided to propose Liquid Friend is also dating Riley & Geraldine Frost, expanding the former Firefrost ship into Thermodynamic Equilovebrium.

Here is the lore doc for Liquid Friend, including lore about Geraldine Frost and Riley Firewall, this will be crossposted to their pages as well!

Hey all, I made a Tlopps card for Liquid Friend after they joined the Lovers. Here it is:

Let me know whether you're fine with me adding this as the profile image when the page is unlocked!

After lorejamming with the Jazz Hands, and checking this Wiki I realized how woefully out of date it is in some ways.

In an effort to get things good and ready for the Jazz Hands' contribution to the wiki, the Lovers want to update an admittedly vague/brief bio of Liquid from 2 months ago when we assumed they'd be promptly stolen by Exchange.

Things we wanted to mention:

- Their overall relationship with Uncle Plasma.

- Some more lore relating to their connection to the Bay and why they decided to join the Lovers, which will be tied into our Excalibat mythology.

- Liquid's overall personality and approach to investigation.

I figured we might want a little section for musings about the history of Liquid Friend and Uncle Plasma. (Possibly more of what I drafted here should go in the B.C. Noir page, rather than on the Liquid friend specific page?..)

• Before Blaseball, Liquid Friend was the long time best friend, nephew, and crime fighting partner of Uncle Plasma. The duo were quite successful in their enterprise, cracking many big cases. Liquid friend and Uncle Plasma don’t often openly discuss their former adventures, but after absorbing a few drinks, they are known to tell *wild* stories about long, dreary, windswept nights and dramatically unfolding cases. The duo was known to always get their mark. No case too big, or too small.

Hello! I RP Uncle Plasma on Twitter. I think the Liquid Friend RPer established that Plasma hired them as a secretary. Their relationship is very much a professional one, although there is definitely some sass. I believe Liquid is trying to get fired, since Plasma signed them up to play a dangerous splort without consulting them, and if they quit they won't get unemployment benefits. However, Twitter RPers don't get the final say, and I think we're both open to change what we do if other options seem more fun.

Blargo (talkcontribs)

That's very fun, lol, I dig that interpretation a lot too- especially since there is twitter dialog to back it up! I think that sounds just as good, and potentially a bit more established.

I think we should have a section for Liquid Friend's cheers! I always like it when pages have this info! I think "Liquid Don't Spill" was the most popular cheer from the day they played their games in the coffee cup.

Physical Characteristics

I can't believe this page is still empty! Let's 'flesh out' our liquid friend!

What do ya'll think about something like this? I tried to cover pretty much everything that seemed consensus at the time of their games:

• Liquid Friend is an entity composed entirely of liquid. Their body shape and size is infinitely split-able and malleable, enabling them to play multiple positions at the same time. Because liquid expands to fill the volume of its container Liquid Friend can cover the entire field with ease.

• The exact composition of Liquid Friend varies over time depending on what other liquids they consume/ come in contact with. The baseline coloration of Liquid friend seems to be dark gray/ light gray tones or water. During the Coffee Cup, they were observed to be primarily made up of coffee, but this is likely due to the Coffee weather effect that was active during their games.

• Liquid friend identifies as the embodiment of gender fluidity. (not 100% sure this should go in physical description?..)

• Liquid Friend takes many shapes. As a detective, Liquid Friend's ability to occupy unassuming vessels (such as coffee cups) was an invaluable asset that helped the crime fighting duo crack many cases.
