Merge IRMs and Remove IRM from Page

Right now Jasper has three rumours. All of them contain the following beats. Jasper is Korean Jasper uses he/they pronouns Jasper signs Jasper has holographic arm emmiters Jasper works for CORNERS/delivery Jasper does sculpture Their other beats are not contradictory. Also as Ji-Eun is a given name, and Ji-Eun is korean, this will also standardize using Jasper to follow standard last-name only wiki formatting. Many of them directly copy each other in places, even beyond simply reiterating the same ideas. Proposal to combine everything into one entry below, and remove IRM from this page

Proposed combined IRM

Jasper Ji-Eun is a shadows team member and batter for the Core Mechanics.

Arrival in the Core

Jasper is a former resident of Mechanicsville, Virginia, and a self-proclaimed lifelong fan and enemy of the Baltimore Crabs. Jasper was pursuing an undergraduate degree in sculpture before they tripped and fell into the Jlames River, and subsequently washed up in the Core. Witnesses say that he "cried with relief" when they realized they no longer had to finish their finals.

Personality and Appearance

Jasper is Korean. He is somewhat introverted, but tends to project a fairly boisterous outward persona. They are an actor, sculptor, and deliveryperson.

He usually wears functional clothes with pockets, bags, pouches and straps to attach things to. All of these zip or button closed.

Jasper uses Core Sign Language, or CoreSL, and has a set of holographic arm emiters on their elbows to enable him to sign. These are custom rigged to be somewhat solid, and Jasper uses them to help pull him through the crags and bars of the Core's geometry. They can often be seen using these to get around the core in a variety of ever-changing methods, from dashing to double jumping to platforming from pillar to pillar.

Life Outside Blaseball

Jasper enjoys delving deep into the unmapped core, leaving high voltage stickers, railings, and other safety measures where appropriate. As a result of their adventures, they have an impressive mental map of the deep core, and began working with C.O.R.N.E.R.S. to deliver packages and uses those delivery trips as an opportunity to pick up both inspiration and scrap metal for their artwork.

Jasper experiences chronic migraines, and produces and sells a line of affordable custom vogmasks. Jasper has been open about how their illness has affected their work, and has been a strong advocate in remodeling The Pillars to reduce potential triggers.

Art and Sculpture

They are also a sculptor, describing their art as "post-neo-new wave no wave reconstructive deco-brutalist". He focuses more on aesthetics over function, with the exception being the highly functional bodies he accidentally created which some non-corporeal Core sprites to possess whenever they want to affect the physical world.

Their sculptures are meant to be "viewed from many angles! Here- come hang from this and look at it from- yes, precisely like that! What do you think? Does it look like the abstract concept of freedom to you?" While first impressions have varied from "I can't believe so many colors fit into something so angular" to "0/10 blatantly inedible", over time many have come to appreciate Jasper's "bold sense of personal expression" and "neat shiny things".

I added a filebox format to the IRM that was missing a format as it felt most appropriate.

We lore jammed and came up with cool character concepts incorporating everyone's ideas!

- dramatic, self-defined thesbian, a little pretentious but in a nice way. they compliment everyone's art and their compliments are very,, a lot - sculpture artist out of scrap metal. from the wiki talk page: "post-neo-new wave no wave reconstructive deco-brutalist style" - focuses more on aesthetics/beauty than functionality, although occasionally they accidentally create functional sculptures. turns out tiny bolt people sculptures are the perfect corporeal bodies for core sprites! - started mentoring evelton when he came down. evelton's trying to make wacky supervillain death machines and jasper thinks they're super avant garde - elbow mounted removable crystalline hardlight arms. useful for lots of stuff, like signing, carrying things, accessing four pockets at once, parkour, etc. - also does package delivery and can frequently be seen swinging around the core or talking about art while dropping off a package some more stuff: - jasper uses he/they pronouns - he likes to play with gravity both in life and in art. if you walk in on him working in his studio, it's 50/50 whether he's standing on the ground or hanging from the ceiling. - his art is meant to be "viewed from many angles! here- come hang from this and look at it from- yeah, like that! what do you think? does it look like the abstract concept of freedom to you?" - once they did an art show where they convinced Mira to convince physics to turn off gravity in their studio, so the sculptures and the guests would free float and rotate around the space. critics responded from "ouch i have a headache" to "exciting, bold, and innovative- their attention to movement is simply unparalleled in the deco-brutalist space" - uses CORNERS delivery trips as an opportunity to pick up other folks' scrap metal - pockets! so many! and for upside-down reasons, they always zip/button, and some of them are flipped over (so you'd reach "up" into it)

possibly IRM or a <choice> for their art style or what critics think of it?

Now we just need to figure out how to write that up into paragraphs.

Bililun (talkcontribs)

I've written this up in paragraphs and added it as a rumor . Can't figure out how to use <choice> though, so if someone who knows how to wiki wanted to add that, please do.

Edit: reading the discussion about use of the IRM in the mechs channels, maybe those paragraphs should be the "primary IRM" rather than a normal rumor? since it is all content from our collective lorejam, it feels like the best collective representation,,?

Summary by Beelijah

re-installation of irm after waiting period ended

Inumo (talkcontribs)

The wiki mods were alerted to the installation of the IRM without prior discussion to this page. At time of discovery, it contained two entries - Jasper Ji-Eun/IF-11.111 and Jasper Ji-Eun/IF-9.773 - with default settings for the full page. The installation was performed by Beelijah, who can reinstall the IRM after 24 hours if there are no objections.

Inumo (talkcontribs)

In the course of uninstalling the IRM, it was noted that Jasper Ji-Eun/IF-11.111 was not previously discussed on the Talk page according to our collaboration policy. It will remain as a live page for ease of discussion, but if discussion arises within the next 24 hours it will be uninstalled and moved to a Pastebin to permit the re-installation of the IRM.

Jasper Ji-Eun is a deliveryperson and a batter for the Core Mechanics.

Jasper enjoys delving deep into the unmapped core, leaving high voltage stickers, railings, and other safety measures where appropriate. As a result of their adventures, they have a deep understanding of how to navigate the core quickly, and began delivering packages and materials between places in the Core as a side hobby.

Jasper is Korean and uses he/they pronouns. They are pansexual and slightly introverted to a degree, and gets a little bit embarrassed whenever they get attention. Jasper was also involved in the development of the CSL (core sign language).

Jasper prefers very functional clothes, with lots of pockets, bags, pouches and straps to attach things to. All of the pockets zip closed to make sure they’re secure no matter what direction gravity is pulling.

Jasper wears a set of holographic arm emitters on his elbows. A common model for people who need to sign while working with their first pair of hands, Ji-eun has figured out how to rig theirs so the hands are solid and can pull Jasper through the crags and bars of the Core’s geometry. They can often be seen use them to get around the core in a variety of ever-changing methods, from dashing to double jumping to platforming from pillar to pillar.
