somewhere on the page it should include this, as well as splitting fanlore from actual information about the item. it's sort of unreadable at present because i can't tell what's real and what's fiction.

I don't though??? Sorry for apparently being a clown for not having any idea what you mean. There's no factual information on the item because it's not a real item, it's just something called the Iffey Jr which a character held and now that guys dead????? This just seems really mean :c

1. the page is currently 90% fanlore / flavour text rather than information about the game blaseball

2. the actual information about the game blaseball is lost in the fanlore segment of this article, so it's very confusing to read

3. the item in the game blaseball is named in reference to ken griffey jr, a real life baseball player, whose wikipedia page i linked in the OP

4. i would like the page to include the information about this link, and the fanlore to be split from the actual gameplay information, to make the page better

5. i have put this all on the talk page in order to obey the wiki rules, but also because the main page is locked for some reason? not sure why honestly this should be an easy add

Hi, friends. The tenor of this conversation is unacceptable. A few points:

1) The reason why the page is locked is noted at the top. All preserved pages are locked.

2) Not everyone understands the kayfabe of the discord community. Keep this in mind when you post something like "there are no real life blaseball players it's a video game."

3) If I find you calling someone booboo the clown like this again, punitive action will be taken. Do better.

The modmin team will evaluate the core suggestion, which is more clearly delineating the fanlore material.

sorry i wasn't clear enough in my feedback. i was trying to communicate that it seems odd to explicitly mention the baseball reference when blaseball isnt real and this wiki is written in kayfabe and doesn't typically point out what connects to irl baseball but it didnt come across, sorry sorry sorry <3

okay but serious question why is it preserved and locked? what's the criteria for that? looking at the edit history it's hard to see any case for it.

The Iffey Jr. was Preserved when Raúl Leal was incinerated in Season 13.

That is partially correct. All Preserved pages are locked and only changed via contacting mods--they are no longer in the game. Legendary items don't usually get their own pages, but this one was historically important enough to warrant its own page. You were correct to give the initial feedback here. We're implementing the changes as we speak.
