Greer is mentioned in an IRM proposal for Goodwin Morin. The specific by-name mention is:

With help from Malik Destiny and Greer Gwiffin, who were her teammates on both the Garages and the Society, Morin was able to connect with blaseball for the first time as a source of joy. Even though her team was eliminated, she became close friends with Destiny and Gwiffin and began to have fun learning about the splort.

hello! greer gwiffin is mentioned on the new proposal for abner pothos's page found here: Topic:Wpj8l9exue5gcypr

the gist of his involvement is a vignette IRM entry in the form of a partial Steely Dads! podcast transcript featuring abner. the relevant section is long, but can be found start at the bottom of page 5 here: google doc link

the general summary is that it's a discussion between gwiff and abner about abner's perspective on instability and the garages from the point of view of a prehistory player.

Gwiff's Time in New York

Lazaretto RCO (talkcontribs)

Some proposed updates for Greer:

During Season 16, Gwiffin had received urban conspiracy information about a New York in the same universe where Dark Seattle resides, and moved there in a mutual exchange for physicist Felix Garbage. Gwiffin knew little about living in New York aside from stories his podcast cohost Lenny Marijuana had told about his son, Dominic Marijuana. The were-owl podcast host found the Millennials to be a delightful bunch, namely a kinship with rookie Anathema Elemefayo, as supernatural creatures subject to fits of danger. Reports suggest that Gwiffin's children have had a better relationship with their father in recent years, and that Gwiffin is in a better place generally. In an interview with the New York Crimes, Gwiffin said, "It's about time I started listening to my own gwisdoms, tryin' to offer some of myself to help people." Gwiffin has been a frequent guest on Conrad Vaughan's "Kitchen Table Podcast because Anathema Lives in the Recording Studio" podcast, as well as in Elemefayo's Twiltch streams, often remarking on the technology of "games these days." While Gwiffin's interest in conspiracy theories hasn't waned, neither have his abilities to get many details incorrect about them.

Gwiffin's Transfer to the Hawai'i Fridays

Li0ness (talkcontribs)

On Blaseball Gods' Day during Season 12, it was announced that the Hawai'i Fridays had acquired Greer Gwiffin from the Garages in a swap for star Nagomi Mcdaniel.

(This talk topic intended for discussion and formulation of Gwiffin's initial lore updates/continuing story from the Fridays.)

I wrote a little blurb about Gwiffin's rivalry with Gabriel Griffith. I didn't want to make it too long, so I kept it short and loose so we can let the rivalry develop if it makes sense to.

When Greer Gwiffin joined the Hawai’i Fridays, he formed a friendly rivalry with fellow birdman on the team, Gabriel Griffith. The two naturally had much in common, including finding mutual inspiration in each other to improve their performance in the splort. They would challenge each other on the mound and at the plate to bring their A-game to every game.

When Greer lost bets with Griffith, he would be forced to interrupt his podcast with “a message from my teammate Gabe, who has requested that I say on air that eagles are the superior raptors, and much better than owls. Thanks, Gabe. And now back to our usual programming.”

Some collective brainstorming in #fridays on ideas for Gwiffin's lore and specifically what to do with his podcast:

-Put Steely Dads! on a "once in a while" schedule remotely with Lenny Marijuana, alongside potentially other ideas from the list below (from r4bbitdragon)

-A new podcast

-Advice podcast called Please Add Vibes (from dontrush)

-Dad Joke podcast called Riffin' with Gwiffin (from crimebaby)

-"i'd like to see gwiffy do like a saturday morning radio show where he fields questions about how to be a good parent" (from Elle)

-"Dad teaches you how" style series that helps build Gwiffin's dad side, spouting more of his Gwisdoms (from Dr. Island Boi)

General ideas:

-Gwiffin wears socks and sandals (from Dr. Island Boi)

-Gwiffin and Winner pairing called Gwinning Vibes (also from Dr. Island Boi)

The idea of using the Interdimensional Rumor Mill was also proposed

EDIT: With the feedback of Griffith to the Lovers their friendly rivalry is kinda just not cut out to be anymore :(. Also, now that Yosh Carpenter is on the team, we could integrate them into the "Dad teaches you how" series. The idea of Carpenter building a boat was also proposed and it could be part of this series with Gwiff

Big fan of the "once in a while" schedule doing the remote podcast with Lenny, rather than creating a new podcast. I think keeping the connect with his old teammate is good vibes.

Also love the socks and sandals and personally feel like that must be added.

Following Greer Gwiffin's introduction to the Fridays, they were approached by local radio station KTGI SPAM Radio about doing a questions and answers show. More than happy to accept, Greer got right to work. The show had a bit of a rough start, but really hit it's stride when Gwiffin invited Yosh Carpenter on as a guest after their Feedback to the Fridays.

Riffin' With Gwiffin, featuring Yosh Carpenter ended up being a much beloved weekend morning radio show. Together they covered a wide variety of topics, including basic carpentry and housework skills, honest advice to tough questions, and parental concerns. The highest rated episode they aired however, was with guest and beloved Fridays mom Ms. Silk, and they had an extended conversation about what it's like to be a parent involved in Blaseball. The most touching moment of that show was when they opened the lines for questions, and Lenny Marijuana called in.

Despite his time on the islands coming to an end due to a trade with the Tacos, Gwiffin has continued to keep in touch with the Fridays and has worked more of the lessons and teachings he shared during Riffin' With Gwiffin on his Prerecorded Gwisdoms cassettes.

Gwiff has done some growth in the last few seasons. He's reconnected with his kids, he's mentored Quack Enjoyable, and he's doing his podcast with Lenny now. He's still a mess, but he's doing his best.
