Crosspost from Elwin McGhee

Eve is mentioned in two new proposals for Elwin.

In the Yamini (mycologist) proposal: "Kashyap was the first to befriend Evelton McBlase II and the alternate of Jessica Telephone when they arrived to the team."

In the Eltwin (alt puppet bug) proposal: "McGhee befriended Evelton McBlase II as soon as she joined the team. The both of them were alternates, and both came to identify as transgender women. They had a close relationship over feeling like they didn’t belong with the rest of the team, and over their desire to feel comfortable in their own bodies."

Hi all! In my mission to get Lift stuff on all pages I wrote an update for IF-84.021 (the actor/director IRM) that encompasses McBlase's time on all their teams. Let me know what you think!

Following several seasons spent in the Core, McBlase began a whirlwind tour of several cities' cinematic cultures. Typically a recluse, they gave an interview where they said, "My time in the Core has taught me that there's always something new to learn... and I, of all people, am perfectly capable of learning it."

McBlase spent the first season of their tour in Chicago, using their new directorial chops to learn about the history of cinema in the city. They then went to Yellowstone and dabbled in documentary-making, learning along the way about the ethical challenges in filmmaking. A trade brought McBlase to Tokyo, where they spent a season learning the history of Japanese cinema, followed by a year spent in Mexico City learning about their traditions.

Satisfied with their time spent traveling, McBlase spent the next several seasons in New York. After a brief break to try theatre, they returned to cinema, vowing to use what they'd learned in their travels to direct and star in the best film possible. McBlase has claimed that the film will debut on the day of the Season 24 elections.

Hello! Sonder Millennials here with an Eve wiki update covering her time post-Mechanics, to be posted to IF-45.921, IF-84.02, and IF-84.022. Bullet points:

  • Eve spends some time on the Firefighters, reinvents the fire extinguisher, and is generally a bit of a nuisance
  • Magic placeholder
  • Lift semi-placeholder discussing The Gender Of It All
  • Wings placeholder
  • A bit covering their very brief return to the Crabs (to be changed through the 3 IRMS)
  • Mills Time! Eve wreaks havoc, makes some friends, and generally has a nice time.

Additionally, I'd like to add she/her pronouns and “side hustle: EVIL!!” to the infobox! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t387hF1reE28DqKQ7r0IC37Y-rOQ8x710iua5wkGUrQ/edit

Adding format for IRM

UnabashedlyRose (talkcontribs)

Proposing to format this as a File Box IRM due to the nature of the content and the new guidelines for the IRM

Add a "Projects" section

2
Hillexed2 (talkcontribs)

I'd like to add a section on Evelton's various evil projects to some IRMs talking about the various things like evil death rays they've built!

UnabashedlyRose (talkcontribs)

this sounds absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to see it!

adding segments about moving to the Mechanics

45.921:

After the Season 13 election, McBlase was last seen floating in the Chesapeake Bay, notably failing to carcinize. Several days later, fishermen in the Core caught McBlase as bycatch. The Mechanics were subsequently assigned to monitor McBlase for any "evil activities" and "delayed transformations into an eel and/or crab."

84.02

After being revoked, McBlase joined the Core Mechanics. The team is reportedly "quietly hoping that they leave." Until then, the Mechanics have been trying to rehabilitate McBlase, and have given them an extensive list of anti-capitalist literature. Despite this, McBlase still supports NFTs, though they have been seen trying to build a machine that they refer to as a "praxis."

84.021

After winning a championship with the Crabs, McBlase moved to the Core, citing an interesting in the groundbreaking special effects and independent films coming out of the area. McBlase has since made their directorial debut with The Llitch, and has been met with widespread critical acclaim for both that and his subsequent film, The Llighthouse.

84.022

McBlase has continued their crime spree post-decension, though their success rate has gone down without the involvement of Best. They have also been hampered by the mysterious crime-fighter known only as Adelaide Judochop: Captain Judochop. The two have been seen engaging in physical, verbal, and plokemon battles with one another. Team representative Jolene Willowtree, when asked about the situation, stated that ve is "just happy that they're keeping each other distracted."

Hillexed2 (talkcontribs)

84.02 gives me a bit of an actual villain compared to the "ineffectively evil" villain that was discussed vibe. It makes me a bit sad to see an IRM all about how everyone hates evelton. I loved the conversations around heat rays used to cook food and elevators poorly disguised as an evil plan; what do you think of trying to add that?

(Also, could NFT be an acronym that stands for something goofy?)

Beelijah (talkcontribs)

Because that rumor has Evelton as already being a capitalist, I didn't want to go too far into making him less evil because the angle of "the mechs rehabilitated him where no other team could" makes me feel bad

However I think a potential angle could be revising it so that Evelton starts to say they're really into theory, but is trying to do silly stuff like "build a praxis" and create a "direct actionator" so that the tone of it is less 'Evelton bad' and more 'Eveltons heart is in the right place but they don't really get it. Does that sound good?

Hillexed2 (talkcontribs)

I'm not sure I see the capitalism in that rumor? It feels to me like that rumor is more about "villainous laughter and mustache twisting" and "robots and gadgets". Personally I think that would be a more fun angle to explore.

Beelijah (talkcontribs)

It's in the Deviant Behavior section; "Rumors that Evelton McBlase II scorned the Tacos for attempting to unionize are, unfortunately, true. He is not anti-capitalist and the rest of the Spies shun him thusly."

Here's a proposed re-write:

After being revoked, McBlase joined the Core Mechanics. The team was initially "quietly hoping that they would leave," but have since taken a liking to their unorthodox inventions, such as a "Death Ray" that helps clear out underbrush and prevent forest fires, a "Murder Trap" that provides transportation to previously inaccessible portions of the Core, and a Toaster (evil). They have also been trying to rehabilitate McBlase, and have given them an extensive list of anti-capitalist literature. McBlase has allegedly fully embraced leftism, and has been seen trying to build a machine that they refer to as a "praxis."

Is it ok if I put the other rumors up, since there's no discussion about them happening?

Hillexed2 (talkcontribs)

looks good to me!

~~maybe I'd add "and a Toaster (evil) which toasts bread evilly.~~

Maybe I'd wait a bit longer in case someone other than us two wants to comment, but otherwise looks good!

Hillexed2 (talkcontribs)

also I just processed "physical, verbal, and plokemon battles" ahahaha

1plumb (talkcontribs)

hi! to keep things consistent with other player poems and improve readability, i'm gonna move the player poem into the IRM. lemme know if that's alright!

1plumb (talkcontribs)

regarding evelton's identity crisis as an alternate/clone and his time in the Up

1plumb (talkcontribs)

wait i'm gonna wait till the elections first

First player to join during election results?

2
SupaQuazi (talkcontribs)

Wouldn't, "McBlase II is the first player to ever join the league during a season's election results, if one does not count Alternate Reality players replacing themselves." be incorrect as Derrick Krueger was added during the Season 1 elections as a result of opening the forbidden book?

UnabashedlyRose (talkcontribs)

That may be right actually, it might be a good idea to specify "as a result of a blessing" I think that covers it, since Derrick was a result of a Decree.

Summary by UnabashedlyRose

Added to IRM

UnabashedlyRose (talkcontribs)

mostly taking from an existing rumour, but adding a section at the end to imply Evelton is trying to use carcinization to become and eel monster.

Full text is:

Origins

On the day of the season 6 election Evelton McBlase, who was taking a stroll along the beach at the time, was observed to suddenly widen to his left. When his head was of an appropriate size to look like two blaseball blases glued together rather than the usual one, a pair of eyes were seen to suddenly open. Then, there was an instant in which everyone in the world blinked at the same time, and when everyone's eyes were open again, there was an (almost) identical McBlase, however without a blaseball cap, standing to Evelton's left. Unfortunately, before the new McBlase could be given the usual Fridays welcome of having a cold one to crack open with the boys, girls, good girls, birds, trees, and otherwise disposed, an unknown member of the Houston Spies was lowered in, grabbed the new McBlase, and was airlifted away. While he was eventually returned to the Fridays in later seasons it is unclear, as many things are with the Spies, what exactly occurred while he was away.

Nonetheless Evelton's return was met with the same chill vibes that we have all come to expect from the Friday's legendary hospitality despite the occasional trail of black ichor that seem to follow him on the rare times he managed to run the bases.

Trade to the Baltimore Crabs

Evelton has claimed that the season 10 People's Champions trade for themselves, Baldwin Breadwinner, and Bevan Underbuck was part of an scheme to "steal ascension" from the Baltimore Crabs. While no other reports from the Hawaii Fridays have backed this up as an intentional plan, it is clear that the trade did take place from the presence of Nagomi McDaniel, Sutton Dreamy, and Montgomery Bullock (and Bontgomery Mullock) in the ILB even as the Crabs were called up.

From the Telescope

While it is unclear exactly what is happening in the Big Leagues, Baltimorean telescope watchers have reported catching glimpses of Evelton developing a fascination with the process of carcinization, though notably they seem to have decided they wish to use it to become an eel. Based on our current understanding of Carcinization it is unclear if that is possible, but the Crabs' resident cultural and biological anthropologist Pedro Davis has gone on the record to say that his idea is, "theoretically possible, but I hate it and if Evelton asks me to be their sidekick one more time I'm going to throw them into Chesapeake Bay myself so they can figure it out on their own".
