The following:

  • The Agency is rumored to have made a deal with the National Park Service to protect and monitor Bennett. Pursuant to this, Bennett was traded for Jordan Hildebert.
  • Bennett insists that they are only good at pitching because of "it", and will not elaborate on what "it" is.
  • Bennett launches weather balloons, breaks into meteorological networks, and leaves black boxes (miniaturized digital weather stations) around, trying to gather more information on weather conditions inside Blaseball stadiums.
  • Bennett and Yeong-Ho Garcia get along well for... some reason.

Life on the Shoe Thieves

Bennett Bluesky joined the Shoe Thieves after answering the ad for an aerial getaway driver. Bennett was drawn to the position not just because of their passion for flying, but due to their interest in the strange weather phenomena in Blaseball. They could not pass up an opportunity to view these strange events from the eye of the storm.

Appearance

They have blue wings like that of a bluebird or bluejay. Their hair is the color of clouds during a sunset. Due to their love of aviation, they dress much like a biplane pilot - big scarf, bomber jacket, bomber helmet, goggles. Often overprepared, they carry a frankly impractical number of instruments for measuring weather conditions. Their backpack is essentially a portable weather station powered by a couple of very large batteries.

Personality

Bennet Bluesky is generally good natured, if not a little mischievous. They love everything relating to the sky, from watching the sky itself to topics relating to space (such as the Mars rovers). They are fond of everything vintage. Bennet does all of their writing on a typewriter that they keep in a carry case with an over the shoulder strap. They do not have a phone, preferring to hand deliver letters. To unwind, Bennett plays the flute. Having learned the art of Bonsai in their travels, Bennett maintains one made from a small cutting of Sebastian Woodman. It is a small, ashy pine tree, serving as a memorial to their predecessor.

Bennett’s habit of constantly watching the sky can, on occasion, improve their defensive skills. Sometimes they see a ball up there and suddenly remember to catch it. Other times, they lose themself watching the clouds. Or birds. Or peanuts. Regarding the flooding issue, they have been known to opine, “why don’t we just fly over it?”

Since their experience [redacted] ,others find it unsettling.

Personal History

Bennett was a pilot, fascinated with the idea of flying and seeing above the clouds, where the sky is always blue. Bennett has wings of their own, but flying takes energy and effort. Planes allow Bennett to fly higher and longer. It was also this interest in the sky that led them to study meteorology and to work as a weatherperson.

When Bennett was a younger, more reckless pilot, they charted a flight path that took them directly over [REDACTED]. Presumed dead after a failure to arrive at The Big Garage for refueling, Bennett would not emerge until 15 years before they had taken off, pulling themself out of the cool ocean waters near Charleston.

Social LIfe

Bennett Bluesky is generally well known and well liked around the Choux. In addition to their role as aerial getaway driver, they are quite handy with machinery that's on the fritz. One notable time, the sprinkler system inexplicably started spraying grape soda everywhere (an issue that was in no way related to Bluesky's attempts to automate stadium refreshments). Bennett has bonded with many of the Shoe Thief players. Bennett and Richardson Games can frequently be found racing the bases, in an attempt to measure whether wings can go faster than a grappling hook. Bluesky enjoys talking about space with Simon Haley, finding their perspective as a comet particularly interesting.

Some relationships, however, still need work. Bennett has left many notes to Stu Trololol requesting to be taken on a blimp ride, but strangely the notes never seem to be received. Bennett tactfully avoids Esme Ramsey, for reasons that are unclear.

Bennett has a very positive opinion on [REDACTED], [redacted] the Yellowstone Magic.
