Sun .1

From Blaseball Wiki

Sun .1 is a weather condition introduced in Season β22 as a result of the Sun .1 Decree. During Sun .1 weather, runs are worth an additional 0.1 Runs for each inning – so runs earned in the first inning are worth 1.1 each, runs earned in the second are worth 1.2 each, and so on. This addition is done after any polarity calculations are made, so for example if an unrun is scored in the first inning, it will be worth 0.9 unruns.

Sun .1 was in effect from Season 22 until its Nullification by Black Hole (Black Hole) on Day 45 of Season β24.

Scoring in Sun .1

Sun.1 led to a number of unusual high-scoring games over it's lifespan, and contributed to a number of Fax Machine activations.

Notably in Season 23, Day 24 Finn James was pitching against the Chicago Firefighters in the ninth inning when they gave up their tenth run. When Axel Campbell was faxed in, the Firefighter's Magnified Baby Triumphant hit a 3-run home run, resulting in:

Baby Triumphant hits a 3-run home run!
Home Run: 1 Run
Batter Magnified 2x: 1 * 2 = 2
Sun .1: 2 + 0.9 = 2.9
Home Run: 1 Run
Batter Magnified 2x: 1 * 2 = 2
Sun .1: 2 + 0.9 = 2.9
Home Run: 1 Run
Batter Magnified 2x: 1 * 2 = 2
Sun .1: 2 + 0.9 = 2.9
2.9 + 2.9 + 2.9 = 8.7
8.7 Runs scored!

With Swamuel Mora scoring in the next play, Campbell was faxed back out after 55 seconds of play.

Nullification

On Day 45, Bevan Wise of the Yellowstone Magic nullified Sun .1 by scoring ten runs under the Black Hole (Black Hole).
