Ray is a sentient beam of light that acts as the band Solar Distortion's manager. Ray's age, appearance, origin, and relationship status are all mysteries to any organic beings as he himself is incomprehensible to any but The Sun. This has made his success as a manager lukewarm at best. It is said that Ray signed an infernal contract to protect the earth from The Sun's wrath which stipulated that a band play at the Hellmouth Sunbeam's home games.
