Lucas Petty’s Kit Crew

Lucas Petty drives a racecar, and their pit crew is comprised of several pet cats, referred to as the Kit Crew.

The Kit Crew is remarkably good at stadium maintenance as well as car maintenance, but after finishing a maintenance job they immediately go back to lazing around. The Scuttles try to help the Kit Crew with their work, but are ineffective at it. The average NLASCAR pit crew has up to eight members, so the Kit Crew is comprised of up to eight cats, unless multiple cats are fitting in a single pit crew uniform, in which case there are more.

Pepito gets along great with the Kit Crew; finding the Kit Crew snuggling with her helped Petty get over their Spearmint-induced fear of Pepito. Felix Garbage also gets along well with the Kit Crew, partially because they remind him of bodega cats. By contrast, the Kit Crew hates Yummy Elliott, who showers them in affection anyway.

Hendricks Richardson and his TA Throckmorton Smooth have been teaching the Kit Crew communist theory since joining the Tacos. The Kit Crew already knew the basics, however, and were already unionized, due to having been in the general vicinity of Hewitt Best.

The Kit Crew and the various rats comprising Rat Mason work together to put on fireworks shows when Petty wins games. Peanut Bong sometimes helps with the pyrotechnics. Sometimes, Basilio Fig IS the pyrotechnics.
