Lottie Ceilingfan/IF-12.53

Lottie Ceilingfan is a cat, presumably. Tigers management can confirm she is at least the front half of a cat. However, Ceilingfan only and exclusively emerges from a moveable hole in the ceiling of Sixth Circle Stadium, and never completely, so her back half has never been seen. Ceilingfan is usually upside down, hanging from the roof like a bat, regardless of wether or not there is an existing ceiling. Occasionally, she has been seen batting from floor-holes but appears extremely displeased while doing so. As of date, no one has entered or seen the inside of the ceiling hole and lived.

Ceilingfan appeared shortly after season 21, when she wandered onto the field, tiny bat already in paw. When the team was asked why a cat was currently taking swings at the practice cage, pitcher Hiroto Wilcox responded, "Oh, that's my cat," and neglected to elaborate further. Other accounts include Tigers shadow player Ren Morin, who is both an extra dimensional being and a cat, and is the only known player to have entered the ceiling hole and seen Ceilingfan’s back half. He has stated that Ceilingfan was ‘exceedingly polite’.

Prior to her career in the ILB, Lottie Ceilingfan was best known as a DJ in one of the clubs in Hotel Umbra. Prior her career as a DJ, her history is largely unknown. Currently, Ceilingfan appears to be a young adult, human-like entity with coily hair and dark skin, but with bat-like ears, nose and bat wings in place of human arms. Any known records about her begin at the Hotel Umbra, not long before the announcement of Ceilingfan as the Season 21 Playoffs birth. According to the Hotel, Ceilingfan has always been a part of the Hotel’s Shadows. The entity now known as ‘Lottie Ceilingfan’ was part of the many indistinguishable, abstract shadows that popular the hotel’s dark corners and allowed it to function. Some have said she would also one day return to the Hotel’s indistinguishable sea of shadows, a statement Ceilingfan has vehemently denied.

Ceilingfan debuted on Season 22, and despite being a young rookie, Ceilingfan endeared herself to fans by constantly alley-ooping after teammate Famous Owens’ home runs. The two are frequently seen together on and off the field, with Ceilingfan appearing to be at ease with the mysterious Owens, treating them with greater familiarity than most Tigers. Despite her relationship with Owens, Ceilingfan went through great strides to establish herself as her own player on a Tigers lineup that had just lost many of its longtime players. Though morale was low for both the team and its fans, Ceilingfan was often a bright and often uncontrollable presence on the diamond.

Ceilingfan showed her skill extended beyond hoops by partying numerous times in her debut season as well as earning the Skipping modification in the Season β22 elections. Fans cheered whenever it was announced that “Lottie Ceilingfan skipped up to bat”, often resulting in walks and frequent steals. In addition, her possession of a Golden Broom lead to greater leaguewide popularity on the ILB Idolboard and the same popularity that lead to the vaulting of former teammates Aldon Cashmoney and Paula Turnip.

Despite her possibly young age, Ceilingfan appears to have adjusted well with her rapid rise to fame. Ceilingfan has shared numerous musical releases since her debut in the ILB, including collaborations with players such as Owens and Parker MacMillan. While Ceilingfan rarely explicitly discussed her struggles with the nature of the splort and rapid rise to fame, her struggles were often alluded to or the subject of her artistic endeavors.

Lottie Ceilingfan/IF-92.480

Lottie Ceilingfan is a lineup player for the Hades Tigers first spotted in Season β21. Official ILB records cite their first day of play as Day 4, however numerous eyewitness accounts claim that Ceilingfan was spotted on that field prior that day.

Fellow Tigers player Famous Owens, a popular but notorious raccoon, had been sighted again during season 20 after the Ampitheatre’s Voicemail was built. Notably, the now larger racoon returned as a lineup player instead of the pitcher they had been since Season 1. Besides an increase in their published hitting ability, observers noted various changes to the player. This included being sighted with what appeared to be a small opossum on their back with no explanation. Many fans and journalists have compared the image to juvenile opossums clinging on to the backs of their parents.

When Tigers captain Hiroto Wilcox was asked about the relationship between Owens and the then unknown opossum, they replied with the following quote:

“That’s a racoon and an opossum, why would you think they’re blood related? Nah, Owens would be a terrible parent, Lottie keeps falling off their back and they don’t even care. Did you know how many insects we had to catch to feed them? A lot! Not me though. I’m the captain."

The opossum was officially announced on Season 21, Day 4 when Tiger Zion Aliciakeyes was seen dialling on her phone while on the field. Seconds later, the opossum detached from Owens, a bat in their mouth and was officially referred to as Lottie Ceilingfan. Initially a juvenile opossum, Hades fans watched as the young blaseball player grew up over the season. On Day 34, they were seen climbing into a flip phone and voicemailed out. Ceilingfan was later voicemailed back in for player Irnee Bluesky and appears to become fully grown.

Despite being a rookie, many have praised Ceilingfan’s blasketball skills, frequently alley-ooping after Owens to score an additional run for the Tigers. Between or during games, the two players have been frequently seen engaging in Owen’s favorite activity- digging through the trash and hissing at various fans and members of the team. Ceilingfan appears to take this one step further and has sneaked onto the stands to ask for fans’ concessions. Despite loud pleas from management not to feed her, fans have delighted in getting Ceilingfan to accept their offered snacks.
