Kansas City Breath Mints/Season 13

From Blaseball Wiki

In Season β13, the Kansas City Breath Mints finished 12th in the Mild League, and 22nd in the ILB.

During the Season 13 Earlsiesta, all teams beside the Baltimore Crabs (whose Ballpark had already been completed) began construction on their Ballparks. Construction was completed following the Season 13 Latesiesta, with the Breath Mints building the Kansas City FreshDome, also known as The Meadow.

In the postseason, the Breath Mints were selected as the Mild League Wild Card, and won their first postseason series against the New York Millennials in the Wild Card round. They continued however their record of never proceeding past the Division Series, losing 0-3 to the eventual champions, the Baltimore Crabs.

Placing in the bottom 4 teams, The Breath Mints gained a Free Will, receiving 3 Wills in total in the Election. They Exchanged Eizabeth Guerra for Mexico City Wild Wings' hitter Jessica Telephone, Revoked Stew Briggs, and Plundered Boston Flowers' hitter Sutton Picklestein, sending Lenny Spruce back in exchange. The Breath Mints won 0 blessings in the Election.

During the course of the season's elections, Sutton Picklestein, incinerated earlier in the season, was Plundered by the Boston Flowers, then plundered a second time by the Kansas City Breath Mints. However, after the Wills were all filed, the Returned activated. Returned reads "This player has Returned from the void. At the end of each season, this player has a chance of being called back to the Void." In a never before seen incident, Picklestein was Returned immediately after being brought back from the dead, pulling Marquez Clark from the Breath Mints shadows in their place.

Finally, after the election, it was noticed that Brisket Friendo, the Breath Mints’ Season 13 postseason birth, was missing from their shadows. Both Friendo and Tad Seeth of the Charleston Shoe Thieves were given the modification Redacted, which says simply "This player is Redacted." Very briefly, the Boss appeared to ask Where'd you go, Friendo? A followup from The Commissioner indicated that a missing persons report had been filed, and that "Ownership has enlisted the help of two top-tier investigators and assures no expenses spared."[1] This marked the beginning of The Investigation.
