Ji-Eun Clove

From Blaseball Wiki

Ji-Eun Clove was a player in the Shadows for the Miami Dale, and was with the team from Season β23, Day 53 until Fall Ball. Clove has previously played for the Atlantis Georgias.

Official League Records

Clove joined the ILB as a lineup player for the Atlantis Georgias on Season β20, Day 48 after the incineration of Niq Nyong'o.

During the Season β21 elections, Gloria Bugsnax's Chorby's Soul II was moved to Clove via the Georgias' Item Steal will, causing them to drop the Rubber Cap of Wisdom. Clove then retreated to the Georgias' Shadows as a result of the Georgias' Move will, resulting in a combined 7.0 7.7 stat increase.

On Season β23, Day 53, the Worldwide Field Thieves' Guild stole Clove from the Atlantis Georgias and gave them to the Miami Dale.

Box of Ji-Eun Clove Files

Dust billows as the file box lands on the table. While many archives in the Interdimensional Rumor Mill are unified in some way, this... definitely isn’t one of them. Background

Ji-eun Clove is a second generation Korean-Atlantean. Due to the untimely death of Atlantis’ anchor and the subsequent unmooring of reality, it is difficult to record Clove’s past, as the details are constantly shifting through the currents of casualty. It is theorized that, because it replaced the anchor, Clove is exceptionally in flux, even compared to other Atlanteans. Despite this, there are some consistent details that are consistent enough to be documented, according to Clove itself.

Clove is a professional streamer who’s content mostly centers around puzzle games, sandbox games, and the Gulf Stream. She has a reported interest in ghosts and the supernatural, and studied Early-Antiquity Atlantean history before playing pro-sports got in the way of her studies and forced her to drop out of college.

Joining Blaseball

Clove joined the Atlantis Georgias at an exceptionally turbulent time, replacing team captain Niq Nyong'o. It initially struggled to connect with its teammates, as it felt guilty about replacing such a core part of the team. Furthermore, Clove was not proficient at blaseball, and struggled as leadoff batter, leading the league in strikeouts in season 21.

However, both the teams and fans came to appreciate Clove, and took great joy in cheering for “Ji-eun’s Home Runs”. After Rigby Friedrich took over as leadoff batter, the two became friends, though witnesses claim that their friendship often consists of Friedrich coming into the chats of Clove’s streams to yell at her for missing practice.

A New Kind of Anchor

Clove was acutely aware of the unstable nature of reality within Atlantis, as well as the growing risk of consumer attacks towards the team. Clove lacked the training to take on the duties of anchor on her own, but knew that something had to be done. Knowing that she was likely to be sent to the shadows soon, Clove worked with Chorby Soul V to devise a scheme to steal Chorby’s Soul from Gloria Bugsnax. By sealing herself in darkness with the ring, Clove created a permanent buoy for the team, protecting them from consumers and allowing Atlantis to float above the waves once more.
