A popular speakeasy on the 122th floor is the Roots of the Sun, a smoothie store ran by the monks of the Shadow Moabbey. A root of Smoothyggdrasil leads to the Hotel, and smoothies are carefully fed into the gilded taps of the Roots.

Most speakeasys are often dimly lit in order to evoke a dark, secretive mood. This describes most of the Hotel and Hades. Instead, and in accordance to Heliolatric practices, the Roots of the Sun is lit to be blinding. It is said that the Roots of the Sun is the only place in Hades where one can feel the "sun".

Aldon Cashmoney claims to have funded this branch of the Shadow Moabbey, proclaiming that ve missed the smoothies as they remind vim of Hellmouth, the first and only time ve nearly ran out of money funding the Sunbeams' every desire. Thankfully, this is impossible.
