The HELIOLATRIC Zodiac is a system of divination used within the Hellmouth area. It uses an individual’s Fate Number, mapped to the Blaseball regular season calendar. Each classification consists of two parts, a day and a week modifier, which create one of 100 unique combinations.

Belief in the system varies between individuals. Some swear by the horoscope, believing it can be used for day to day divination and defines personality, as well as revealing the way you will die. Others view it as more of a fun tool, useful when dividing up teams for an impromptu game of Flootball. Regardless, the Hloroscopes section of Hellmouth publications is always popular.

Fate numbers can change after reality-shifts or life-changing events. A cottage industry has arisen of people claiming that they can change your fate number to something more positive, although these claims remain untested.

  • A guide to calculating your Hellmouth Fate Zodiac. If it's for yourself, find what day of the year your birthday is. For example, February 5th is the 36th day. Divide this number by 365. Times the result by 99 and round to the nearest whole number. For a blaseball player, just use their fate number. It's easiest to find Part 2 first. For Part 2, find which week your number falls into of the following: Days 1-9: Damnation. Days 10-18: Purification. Days 19-27: Emanation. Days 28-36: Carapace. Days 37-45: Cacophony. Days 46-54: Amalgamation. Days 55-63: Euphony. Days 64-72: Cessation. Days 73-81: Crepuscule. Days 82-90: Catachresis. Days 91-99: Absolution. Then, to find Part 1, find which day of that week your fate number is. E.g, fate number 47 is day 2 of Amalgamation week. Then, match it to the following list: 1 = Solar. 2 = Lost. 3 = Blood. 4 = Blessed. 5 = Liminal. 6 = Cursed. 7 = Flesh. 8 = Found. 9 = Lunar. If your fate number is 0, your fate zodiac is 'Hidden Leonard'.
