On Season β7, Day 25, Bugsnax's defensive ability was siphoned by Chicago Firefighters batter Declan Suzanne in a game with Blooddrain weather, bringing it from to .

During the Flowers' Season 7, Day 81 game against the Baltimore Crabs, Bugsnax partied and received a -star boost to batting & pitching, and a -star boost to baserunning and defense.

During the Flowers' Season 7, Day 86 game against the Houston Spies, Bugsnax partied and received a -star boost to batting, pitching, baserunning, and defense.

At the end of Season β9, the Hellmouth Sunbeams won the Mutually Arising blessing, resulting in an increase in batting from ★★  to ★★½ and defense from ★★½ to ★★★.

Over the course of Season β24, Bugsnax entered and exited the Flowers' Shadows three times as a result of Boston Garden Fax Machine events, ending the Season on the pitching rotation.

During the December 16, 2022 Fall Ball, Bugsnax fell to the Hades Tigers.

History

Gloria emerges fully-formed from xyr flowerpot, by @blockmechanics

Gloria Bugsnax was the Flowers' team pet, a venus flytrap carried to away games and kept in the dugout. Xe appeared to be a perfectly normal plant until Matheo Carpenter was incinerated and the Weird Flex went flying. Catching it, Bugsnax emerged as a fully formed Blaseball Player through sheer force of willpower, taking Carpenter's place at the plate and shocking xyr new teammates.

While some have speculated about a connection between Bugsnax and Caligula Lotus, they firmly insist they are not related in the slightest. Theories about the Boston Garden's propensity to grow blaseball-playing plants abound, but not much is known. What is notable is that unlike Lotus, who sprung up from the ground itself, Bugsnax was the team's pet plant long before xe joined the team.

The Many Faces of Gloria Bugsnax

According to the Interdimensional Rumor Mill, some things never change, even across dimensions. Someone, somewhere, decided to catalog all the different versions of Gloria Bugsnax in a Rumor Registry, but today the version from IF-26.216 is playing. Here’s what the rumors say...

Bugsnax has ADHD, and has been known to dance as a stim when excited, particularly after a good blaseball play. Xe retains memories from xyr time as the team’s pet plant, and as such has a deep and abiding love for xyr teammates, showing affection to them often and freely.

Bugsnax introduced Nepenthe Saracen to the team as a pitching coach around ten days after joining the team as a player. While xe claims to have no ulterior motive for doing so, Gloria often seems to enjoy it when Nepenthe manages to get Beck Whitney to take a break from coaching. Bugsnax, Saracen, and Lotus have been observed to share knowledge with each other without any noticeable external communication.

Gloria Bugsnax is good friends with xyr more chaotic teammates Zesty Yaboi, Sutton Bishop, and Lowe Forbes and they can regularly be found causing mayhem throughout the Garden either alone or together.

Bugsnax has a love of stealing anything xe can get their hands on. The most notable theft was when xe stole the Chorby's Soul, causing the Boston Flowers to be dunked into the Immateria.
