Appearance and Abilities

Frost’s appearance regularly changes, due to her ability to melt and reshape herself. She is fully made of ice and thus with sufficient water can forge herself into any shape she desires. She has notably used this ability to change her hair style at will, and to grow taller on the playing field in order to better catch balls. In instances of her attempting the latter, she generally fails, as her ability does not allow her to shift her form very quickly. This form also includes several drawbacks, including the occasional loss of body parts. Frost has regularly been observed to accidentally remove her hand while pitching, causing it to remain attached to the ball. Following the first instance of this, Frost now carries a bucket of water with her onto the field, in case she needs to replace a body part on the fly.

Along with these abilities, she is also a novice pyromancer and has been observed to practice this magic while out of play. Following an incident in which she burned down a dugout at the Breckenridge Community Field, she has been advised to refrain from practicing such magic during any sanctioned ILB match. Due to the nature of her being, all aspects of Frost’s appearance take on a distinct light blue tint, though she does have marginal control over the exact shade of blue.

In general, Frost takes on a tall form, most closely resembling an elven female. In this form, she is thin and gaunt, with straight, back-length hair. While she generally wears her hair down, she has been observed to wear it in braids or a bun. The color of her eyes in this form are unknown, as when she takes this form, she always covers her eyes. Generally, this is done with a simple blindfold, but in the past she has also been seen wearing any or all of the following: 3-D glasses, steampunk-style goggles, a virtual reality headset, a Mycenean death mask, aviator sunglasses, a brown paper bag with a sad face drawn on it, a ten-gallon hat pulled over her eyes, a masquerade-style mask, a medicinal face mask (over her eyes).

Personality

Frost has been described by her teammates as “reclusive” and “a bit of a loner.” She tends not to interact with her teammates (though she does join them on team anime night) or her team’s fanbase. She is generally quiet, not saying much at all during interviews. She generally does not react to the audience during games, even when her fans chant her praise (“Stay Frosty!” is a common chant heard when Frost is pitching).

In interviews, she has expressed an ambivalence towards winning, and Blaseball as a whole. She has also stated that she believes people should not get attached to her, as she does not want to disappoint them. Additionally, she has expressed interest in novels, history, and magic (particularly pyromancy).

Relationship with Riley Firewall

Following Riley Firewall’s explosive entrance to the ILB, he and Frost became fast friends. The two, generally described as “quiet,” and “distant,” by their respective teams began spending a large amount of time together after first meeting at a post-game party in Miami. They both found themselves on the sidelines of the party when they met. They seemed to immediately understand each other, and their friendship has only grown since their original meeting.

Firewall is commonly seen sneaking away during official ILB games to spend time with Frost, often using the “Secret Base” function of their team’s stadium to meet her. Those who have seen them spending time together note that often not a single word is exchanged between the two; they simply engage in their own hobbies in each other’s presence. The exception to this is Frost’s pyromancy practice, with which Firewall assists her using his own fire-based abilities. Whenever the two of them make physical contact, steam emanates from the point of contact, and an audible hissing sound is heard.

Frost and Firewall are rumored to be engaged in a romantic relationship, though this is denied by both players. Proponents of this theory call their relationship “FireFrost.”

After being introduced to Liquid Friend by Firewall, Frost seems to have taken a strong liking to them though it has never confirmed in an interview, rumors have circled about the three of them being a polycule, with one popular ship name being Thermodynamic Equilovebrium.
