Oliver Loofah and Lenjamin Zhuge believe that Browning is a semi-aquatic cryptid, theorizing that he swims out to sea to catch salmon before spawning season. While no one has witnessed him doing this, his enjoyment of swimming in the Salmon Spire may show that this theory is not completely without merit.

Evidence supporting this theory includes an audit of the Garage's catering budget noting an entry for 90 pounds of salmon per day adding more weight to the theory. Fans of the team, however, have pointed to Browning's (shaggy, clawed) opposable thumbs and ability to wear pants as evidence that he is, in fact, just a regular guy.
