Background

Bees Taswell is a spectral entity commonly referred to as a ghost. Though Taswell is recalcitrant about details surrounding their life and death, they have revealed in interviews that they used to be a serf who worked primarily in agriculture. Taswell manifests as a humanoid form with a detached head and wicker basket mask for a face, akin to a medieval beekeeping outfit. Despite this, Taswell has little involvement with the apiary and plant mechanics of the Core.

Career

Taswell reportedly flew into the Core some time before the Mechanic's ascension, and has played with the team since. They are a prolific artist who incorporates their long history into their work with paint, ceramics, and mosaic. Taswell's preferred medium is illustrated manuscripts, and they are known to carry around an art journal with them at all times, even while fielding.

Prophecy

Taswell reportedly has the gift of prophecy, and channels it through their art. Before every Mechanics game, Taswell draws an illustration that depicts the future ahead of them. However, Taswell cannot control the scope of their visions, and often reveals information about the future that is entirely useless to the Mechanics' blaseball strategy, though they have helped reduce the impact of at least three natural disasters.
