B.A.C.K. stands for Bureau of Archive Collection and Knowledge and is a loosely-connected research organization in the Core.
One of the duties performed by BACK is to prepare and accompany the team to the surface for games. This includes putting Multilingual signage up in host teams stadia, in the local language and Gridlang to ensure players and fans know where to go. Another important duty is to help Core Residents who are visiting the surface adjust to local customs such as the use of "money" in order to acquire goods and services. The knowledge on how to do this is contained within several slices of the manual.
