THE MAW was the official mascot of the Canada Moist Talkers.

Before the opening of The Forbidden Book, THE MAW resided in the centre of the Moist Talkers' then-home field, Spittle Park. It was a ginormous, sodden mouth filled with rows of razor-sharp teeth, waiting in the centre of the diamond for an unsuspecting player to fall in. Unfortunately, nobody did, and it retired to a cavern deep beneath the earth at the beginning of Season 2. It was then replaced by the Belligerent Phlegm Receptacle.
