COMMUNITY REPORTS
The remainder of this article contains lore created collaboratively by the Blaseball community.

Combs is the first and only half-seal player to enter the world of blaseball. He states that his entry is due to early encouragement from his Selkie mother, whose motives remain unknown. From a young age, he campaigned for a change in the law to allow seals to play, though so far he is the only person to have benefited from this.

Sick of the perceived stigma of seals only being good for balancing beach balls in circuses, his own motives are that "one day, when people think of seals, people will think of blaseball." It is nevertheless rumoured that he is extremely good at balancing a blaseball bat on the tip of his nose, though footage of this feat has yet to surface.

Alternate Reality

At the end of Season 4, the Wings traded Combs to the Mexico City Jalapeño Poppers, the team's equivalent from a dimension where dinosaurs still tread the earth. They received the Poppers' Ronan Combs in return. While the new Combs (born to a pinniped father and human mother) is a weaker pitcher and batter due to a college upper-fin injury sustained in a Utahraptor attack, he benefits from having put in a couple more hours practicing his crow hop. More importantly, his world-famous whiskers, easy-going demeanor, and passion for seal rights remain ever-constant.
