Replicas

Replicas are Players that can be purchased from the Gift Shop between Earlsiesta and Latesiesta. These Replicas are of various Players from the Vault. When granted to a Team, Replicas gain the Replica modification. At the end of the Season, active Replicas will fade to Dust and disappear from their Team's Active Roster before returning to the Vault.
History
Replicas first appeared in Season β18's innaugural Gift Shop, which offered Replicas of Legendary players Chorby Soul, Nagomi Mcdaniel, and York Silk. These Replicas had the same modifications as the originals they are based on. Replicas also have a Serial Number instead of a Soulscream, though they generate without a Soul. Replicas can play for multiple teams, as the same Replica can be granted in different seasons.
At the end of Season β18 it was discovered that Replicas that are not on an active roster do not fade to Dust. Chorby Soul II had been Redacted and Chorby Soul III had been Incinerated before the end of the Season, resulting in neither fading to Dust or returning to the Vault. Other conditions that cause a Replica to avoid fading to Dust include being in the Shadows and a Season not ending in an Election, such as in Season β24.
Any attempt to remove a player from the Vault via non-sanctioned means such as Wills results in a Replica being generated instead. The Replica Aldon Cashmoney II was generated in the Season β18 Elections when the Hades Tigers attempted to move the Vaulted Aldon Cashmoney to their Lineup via a preemptive Will.
During the ILB Semi-Centennial, the Shadows of the Vault Legends consisted entirely of existing Replicas, excluding those that had avoided fading to Dust.

- By the end of the Expansion Era, the replicas Uncle Plasma II, Uncle Plasma IX, Chorby Soul II, and Chorby Soul III had not faded to Dust for various reasons, including being in the Shadows, Redaction, Incineration, and the Nullification of Blaseball via a Supermassive Black Hole.
- The players with the most Replicas are Uncle Plasma and Liquid Friend, with each having 15 replicas.
