Redacted
Redacted is a modification, first seen in Season β13.
Effect
In Beta
A player who became Redacted would not appear on any team's Roster or in the Hall of Flame.
Redacted players had a chance of exiting through a Ballpark's Secret Base and gaining the Attractor modification, allowing them to rejoin a team.
In the Coronation Era
The effects of Redacted on a player are currently unknown.
Causes
The Investigation
The Investigation was started by the redaction of Tad Seeth and Brisket Friendo, though no reason was ever discovered for their disappearance and remain the only two completely unexplained redactions.
Observation
Players with the Observed modification would become redacted if they entered a Secret Base during a game. They also had a chance of disappearing after a game in any Coffee weathers.
Observation was most commonly caused by players with Debt, though has been seen on items.
Consumers
Players who were attacked by Consumers with only a single Soul left became redacted.

In Beta
Redaction first appeared at the end of Season β13 as a part of the Investigation, though it began to effect active players in Season β15 with the resurrections of both York Silk and Chorby Soul. That same season also saw the first Consumer-related redactions, with the redactions of Alyssa Harrell and Nagomi McDaniel.

Trivia
- Forrest Best is the only player to have been Redacted twice - once via Observation in Season 15, and once via Consumers in Season β21.
- Dimi Blather was Observed when inhabiting Kennedy Loser, and subsequently got on base and entered the Secret Base, making them the first (and only) "Ghost Redaction".
