Origins

While on the Canada Moist Talkers, Enjoyable never left the side of Kiki Familia, being her faithful familiar companion. When she was incinerated by a rogue umpire, Enjoyable flew onto the field, picked up her bat, and began playing in her stead. They hit balls, ran their bases, and fielded, as any good blaseball player does. One oddity was they refused to use any bat that wasn't the one Kiki Familia left behind. Any attempts to take the bat away was met with angry honks and much biting.

The Flickering

When Seattle Garages pitching star, Jaylen Hotdogfingers, accidentally struck Enjoyable with a pitch, they found themselves changed. Something about being hit by Hotdogfingers' cursed ball knocked loose something else, deep within them. Seeking answers for this, they headed over to the dugout of the Garages shortly thereafter.

Career with the Seattle Garages

In their first plate appearance for the Garages, while wielding Kiki Familia's bat, a flash of light enveloped them, transforming them from a duck into an anthropomorphic duck-person. Upon their first time transforming, Enjoyable was startled enough to drop the bat, at which point they reverted back to their usual duck form. This revealed the first rule of their newfound transformation: They can only sustain their anthropomorphic form while holding the magical bat.

In the time since, Enjoyable's career with Seattle has been fruitful; Enjoyable has trained both with and without the use of his anthropomorphic form, though they have since gotten comfortable enough with the transformation that holding onto the bat is not required to sustain the transformation, and may merely have it on their person while they wish to remain transformed. Additionally, Enjoyable has since manifested magical abilities of his own, able to summon a small team of labrador ducks that can assist in menial tasks - primarily helping pitcher Mike Townsend in his stadium-located bakery. Enjoyable is the member of the team credited with first being able to identify Mike Townsend during his first time within the Shadows after the resurrection of Jaylen Hotdogfingers, and the two have a strong rapport as a result. Enjoyable can often be found in the bakery, assisting Townsend and Betsy Trombone in their baking endeavors. They are only allowed to sample their wares while in anthro form, as bread is bad for common ducks.

Enjoyable also developed a strong-rapport with former Garages lineup player Greer Gwiffin. Rumors of Gwiffin's own shapeshifting ability have resulted in Enjoyable seeking them out for help with managing multiple forms, and teammates have since remarked that Gwiffin seems to see himself as a mentor for Enjoyable.

Enjoyable was in the process of developing a strong rivalry with Hellmouth Sunbeams player Sutton Bishop both on and off the field, seemingly as a result of both similar origins and shared interests. When news of Sutton Bishop's incineration reached Quack Enjoyable, he was noted to have taken the news "particularly hard, as if he had lost something beyond a friend and rival."

While often seen at the local café run by fellow Garages player Sparks Beans, the most common form of identifying Enjoyable throughout Seattle can be seen through his various fans participating in "Quackspotting", in which they use various birdspotting apps to identify where Enjoyable has decided to sleep for the day. Fans have noticed a particular affinity for the various waters of Puget Sound, with a vast majority of the 'confirmed' appearances of him off the field documented off the local piers.

Outside of Blaseball, Enjoyable has one of the stronger media presences on the team, active on many social platforms with the help of shadowed Garages pitcher Lori Boston, and is a noted variety streamer who specializes in speedrunning, particularly while in their duck form. Enjoyable often uses his platform to be outspoken about environmental activism, using his influencer status to highlight local environmental causes worth championing.

Shelled in Hellmouth

Quack spent a brief period on the Hellmouth Sunbeams. Most of Enjoyable’s short time in Hellmouth was spent trapped inside a peanut shell. The shell did more than keep Enjoyable from playing Blaseball. It also protected him from becoming adapted to the harsh climates of Hellmouth.

The same could not be said for the shell itself. The peanut shell Enjoyable was trapped in began to grow feathers and a duck bill. It is said that while trapped inside, Enjoyable used his magic to create a homey “gamer pad”. However when Enjoyable was freed, the magic dissipated and no one could confirm this feat of magic.

Time on the Spies

On Season 14, Day 41 during a game against the Houston Spies, Enjoyable reportedly saw the sunglasses worn by the Spies players and immediately wanted a pair. During the middle of the game, he flew onto the field and stole the sunglasses right off the head of Siobhan Chark, and flew into the Spies dugout, making himself at home.

Enjoyable immediately wanted to start doing work for the team. While initially caught off guard, the Agency eventually found a way for them to participate. Due to their nature of being an actual duck, the Agency sent them out on information gathering missions, where they could easily blend into the scene as a duck in a pond. During these missions, Agents would visit the pond and throw food out at Enjoyable, who would only pick out specific foods. This was later revealed to be a secret code, signified by the different kinds of food Agents fed to Enjoyable.

Once joining the team, Enjoyable immediately became rivals with the team’s gadgeteer, Mohammed Picklestein. Picklestein was all about safety, especially in their laboratory where they made the Spies’ items. But Enjoyable loved causing chaos, and he was reported constantly flying around Picklestein’s lab, knocking over the safety precautions set up, and intentionally putting themselves in danger in order to rile Picklestein up. In recent seasons though, they have left Picklestein alone, and have made their home in a little pond in REDACTED’s greenhouse, set up by Dudley Mueller.

Stint in Breckenridge

After losing in the Season 21 playoffs, an angry fan hurled beloved player Jasper Blather through a window in Hellmouth, supposedly out of revenge for the Jazz Hands losing to the Sunbeams’ “rivals” the Hades Tigers. When the Jazz Hands walked into the locker room the following day, the team was surprised to see Enjoyable using Blathers’ locker. When questioning the people in charge of player transfers, they said any and all documentation regarding Enjoyable’s transfer to the team was heavily redacted.

While acclimating himself to Breckenridge, Enjoyable eventually found himself within the Library of Alexandria. Loving the dark and oppressive atmosphere, it quickly became Enjoyable’s hang out spot of choice. The acoustics helped Enjoyable “vibe”. Eventually, Enjoyable’s presence was discovered by Spears Rogers, whose standoffish personality and brooding looks were later described by Enjoyable as “So cool.”

Enjoyable quickly found himself a new home living in the library, spending his off time brooding in silence with Spears. Eventually, Enjoyable would be roped into doing odd jobs for Spears, ranging from benign things like shopping, to more aggressive things like stream sniping Edric Tosser and getting “sick headshots” on him in Flortnite. This earned Enjoyable the title “Henchduck.” As an extension, Enjoyable’s many talents from playing shows with the Seattle Garages resulted in him becoming a stage technician and pyrotechnics coordinator for the Jazz Hands.

As Enjoyable got more comfortable with his place on the team, he was brought to his first jam session. Enjoyable, already a prominent guitarist, experimented with a few other instruments at the time. Enjoyable proved talented not only at more traditional instruments like the drums and keyboard, but also more unusual instruments like his stream deck and a Mlario Party 6 microphone he inherited from Shaquille Torres.

After having spent a season in Breckenridge, Enjoyable was built a pond in the Library of Alexandria by Spears Rogers. Meant to be a quiet place for him to wade in, the pond quickly attracted other aquatic shapeshifting members of the Jazz Hands. Enjoyable was reunited with friend and rival Chorby Short, introduced to Zippy DeShields and finally joined by Siobhan Chark. The four became fast friends, and turned the quiet pond into a party pool. They started referring to themselves as The Pond Squad. After many books got ruined around the rambunctious Pond Squad, Rogers quickly put them all to work around the library.

DeShields eventually taught Enjoyable how to skateboard, but it was a skill Enjoyable was not capable of retaining when shifting to his anthropomorphic form. Enjoyable now takes time to skateboard with Zippy, in addition to his myriad of other hobbies.

Enjoyable’s streaming career was not put on hold either. Enjoyable was quick to file slots for the team’s streaming rooms, directly competing with Edric Tosser for time slots and viewers. Enjoyable likes streaming a large variety of games, but since coming to Breckenridge has a frequent habit of playing whatever game Tosser is playing just to be better than him at it.
