Pity is a modification that was seen on THE SHELLED ONE'S PODS, limiting the amount of damage they dealt in the first Day X fight.

Effect

The Pity modification reduces a team's damage output during boss fights such as the one on Day X.

The damage reduction seems to only effect plays by the PODS, as in both fights a Ball from the opposing pitcher did 250 damage to their own team while a single against the Charleston Shoe Thieves in Season 9 did 5075 damage and the same play against the Baltimore Crabs in Season 10 did 1,504,119 damage (about a 3000% increase).

History

Pity was only seen on THE SHELLED ONE'S PODS during their Season 9 boss fight against the Charleston Shoe Thieves. It was removed for the Season 10 fights against the Baltimore Crabs and the Hall Stars.
