Paul Barnes was a pitcher for the San Francisco Lovers, and was with the team from the Return of Blaseball until being incinerated on Season β3, Day 5.

History

Barnes (he/him) originally went by the name Paul REDACTED, but was forced to change it after a series of traumatic encounters with criminals during his career as a security officer for the REDACTED mall. Following these events, Barnes moved to the Romantic Collaborative of San Francisco to find himself before quickly becoming enveloped in a relationship with Knight Triumphant.

Despite having no prior experience raising livestock and seemingly no interest in farming whatsoever, members of the San Francisco Lovers blaseball team allocated an area within the collaborative as Paul Barnes Farm. While Barnes continued throughout his life to insist that he was not interested in running a farm, he took his responsibility to his livestock seriously. After being granted the farmland and responsibilities, he was rarely seen without at least one leashed chicken — including when pitching for the team.

On Season β3, Day 5 during the second of three games against The Dallas Steaks a Rogue Umpire incinerated Barnes. He was replaced by Sandford Garner. Immediately following his removal from the mortal realm his chickens reportedly clucked once in memoriam then proceeded to wander off to graze elsewhere.
