Null Team is the 21st team to be seen in Internet League Blaseball, though it is also considered to be an error in the underlying website that hosts the ILB, not an active team in games. It is not currently associated with any other teams by division or league.

History

Lost Bets

Null Team first began to appear in the first few seasons of ]]Internet League Blaseball]]. Occasionally, when a bet was placed on a matchup between two fully-extant teams, the bet was instead placed on Null Team. Regardless of the victor, Null Team would lose and the bettor's coins would be lost. This was often resolved by refreshing the page until the betting screen showed the two teams properly.

Unique Player Pages

At the end of the Season 3 elections and the introduction of Interviews, individual players could be viewed with unique URLs that corresponded to their internal ID numbers. When viewers visited a player's unique ID/URL directly, rather than clicking through the team rosters, the interface shows the player is on Null Team rather than their actual home team.

Incinerated Player Pages

See the main article on this topic: Season_6#The_Return_of_Jaylen_Hotdogfingers

Part way through Season 6, participants discovered they could visit the unique URLs for incinerated players, and listed them as members of the Null Team. Because all player URLs list them as member of Null Team when visited directly, it is unknown at this time if incinerated players are members of an existent team called Null Team. Nevertheless, participants began to idolize the first incinerated player, Jaylen Hotdogfingers, which placed a listing for Hotdogfingers and Null Team on the idol leader board for the second half of Season 6.
