The Lower Moab Scenic Overlook Field (also known as The Solarium) is the home ballpark of the Hellmouth Sunbeams, located in Hellmouth, Utah.

Official League Record

The Lower Moab Scenic Overlook Field was constructed in Season β13. Fans of the Sunbeams selected the Boreal prefab, and it cost 2,325,023 coins.

During Season β14, fans of the Sunbeams selected Solar Panels and PsychoAcoustics renovations.

During the Season β15 construction, fans of the Sunbeams selected the Grind Rail, Secret Base, and Echo Chamber renovations.

During the Season β16 construction, fans of the Sunbeams selected the Salmon Cannon and Sun 2 + renovations.

During the Season β17 construction, fans of the Sunbeams selected the Elongation -, Hotel Motel, and Ballpark Cleanup renovations.

During the Season β18 construction, fans of the Sunbeams selected the Elongation - and Salmon + renovations.

During the Season β18 election, Hotel Motel was ratified and removed from the stadium modifications.

During the Season β19 construction, fans of the Sunbeams selected the Ballpark Cleanup and Hoops renovations.

During the Season β20 construction, fans of the Sunbeams selected the Light Switch, Fortification +, and Balloons renovations. The Light Switch was turned OFF.

During the Season β21 construction, fans of the Sunbeams selected the Bird Hotel, Big Buckets, and Fax Machine renovations. Bird Hotel was ratified and removed from the stadium modifications.

During the Season β22 construction, fans of the Sunbeams selected the Light Switch, Peanut Mister, and Phantom Thieves' Guild renovations. Phantom Thieves' Guild was ratified and removed from the stadium modifications. The Light Switch was turned ON.

On Season β24, Day 89, Lower Moab Scenic Overlook Field's Secret Base was nullified by Black Hole (Black Hole) and removed from the stadium modifications.

Location and Features

Lower Moab Scenic Overlook Field is located in the western part of downtown Hellmouth, just off of BAD 191. Its grounds rest on the edge of the main Hellmouth sinkhole, and are bisected by several smaller sinkholes, cracks, teeth, and ruined neighborhood blocks. The grounds are surrounded by the Infinite Mill Creek moat, whose inscrutable geometry protects the field from unwelcome visitors and aspiring Sun-killers.

When walking into the ballpark there is a waterfall feature, believed to be molten gold. The front entrance of the ballpark was angled in such a way that the Sun would rise in line with it and the waterfall on the first day of every new blaseball Season. As best as can be observed, the Sun changed its path slightly following the opening of the Hellmouth to preserve this tradition.

Sun 2, which appeared near the end of Season β10 and has been a constant presence in the skies above Hellmouth ever since, has not demonstrated this property. Talks were underway to build or seek out a system which would turn the ballpark and ensure Sun 2 could rise at season's dawn in alignment, but finalized plans have not yet been forthcoming.

The ballpark is separated into several sections separated by a Hellmouth sinkhole. In order of distance from the center of the Hellmouth these sections are:

• Sub-Ocean (contains endless, labyrinthine depths)
• The Undercroft
• Third Base and Minor Outlying Bases
• The Dugouts (occasionally infested with triangles)
• Infield
• Ballpark Seating and Refreshments
  • An Archery Range, for a misplaced arch
  • The Rhys Trombone Memorial Food Court and Equestrian Center, run by the titanic moth who sells hot dogs
• Outfield
• Fourth Base
• The Announcer's Booth
• The Accounting Department

Notoriety

Lower Moab Scenic Overlook Field holds the record for the blaseball field with the most vertical distance between bases. This is due to both the ballpark's 20° incline and its unique structural design as a result of the opening of the Hellmouth.

Cheers echo from the empty ballpark, which only holds six seats.^{[citation needed]} Occasionally the field flips backwards, and the energy of the Hellmouth below can bring objects to life. On the upside, the soda there is cheap!

The ballpark can be entered during a siesta, which causes a Bad Gateway that opens directly onto first base.

Community Use

Following renovations to the stadium beginning in Season β13 the Hellmouth Sunbeams have recently been allowing members of the community to use the space for non-blaseball related purposes. While this has not impacted attendance during blaseball games, as the activity the Hellmouth at this time is still deemed as too unsafe for an audience other than Dead Tom and Priya Fox, the space is available at other times during the day. These uses include, but are not limited to: Former Sunbeams player Hendricks Richardson has been known to use the Solarium to host his bi-annual Marx Memorial Lecture Series for a rapt audience of wolves and his old teammate, Paula Reddick. The fact that these lectures regularly draw more attendees than Hahn Fox's 24 hour Plitbull and Kle$ha Extravaganza is considered, by Fox, to be "astonishing."
