Official League Records

In Beta

Moon joined the ILB during the Season β7 elections as a lineup player for the Boston Flowers via the New Recruit blessing.

During the Season β9 elections, Moon received a combined 11.4 11.8 stat increase as a result of the Hellmouth Sunbeams' Mutually Arising blessing. Moon also received the Siphon modification due to the passing of the Forecast: Blooddrain decree.

Over the course of Season β10, Moon made use of this new modification, siphoning 9 different players. These stat increases boosted Moon from 3.8 4.8 in baserunning, 2.0 2.5 in batting, and 3.9 6.1 in defense.

During the Season β10 elections, Moon received an increase in batting from 2.5 3.0 as a result of the Unlimited Tacos' Sharing Signs blessing.

Vaulting and Escape from Blaseball

Moon gained the Legendary modification and left the Boston Flowers during the Season β23 elections via the Season 23: Vault Swap blessing. Parker MacMillan Super Roamin' to the Hawai'i Fridays caused Moon to become Unstable. Crucially, while they were relocated to the Vault (and visible on the Vault page with other Legendary players), they were never added to the Vault Legends roster.

Being unaffiliated with any team caused Moon to dodge conversion into post-Beta Blaseball. As a result, this player no longer exists.

History

Blaseball Career

Glabe Moon joined the Boston Flowers after the events of Season 7. She was spotted drinking the tea out of Boston Harbor, and when approached asked approvingly why the harbor was full of tea. When she was told about blaseball, she expressed confusion about the splort, seemingly unaware of its very existence. She vanished soon after.

Moon appeared in The Garden the very next day wearing a Flowers blaseball cap, claiming to be the Flowers' tenth batter. Despite the fact that all official blaseball teams had only nine batters in the lineup, when acting captain Margarito Nava asked the Commissioner about the team's new batter, the Commissioner confirmed that she was indeed the tenth batter in the Flowers' lineup.

Later, when asked what had drawn her to the Flowers and blaseball generally, Moon caused some confusion, stating "The bit with the hitting and throwing and running is strange, but I do enjoy a good ritual and then there's a big feast and more tea than you could feasibly drink in an afternoon... yes, this seems like a reasonable pastime..."

Season 8

Upon arriving on the field, Moon seemed confused as a player. She carried both her bat and her glove at all times, unsure of when to use which item. Moon initially often struck out catching rather than making an attempt to hit it. The team's frustration at this was best expressed by Ace Simmons, who in one post-game interview said: "It's just a dang blessed thing that none of those dang umpires have dang incinerated her." In spite of her initial confusion, she managed to become one the Flower's statistically strongest batters that season.

She made up for her early difficulties with her baserunning and defensive skills. Upon learning that one could steal bases, Moon began to make way for any base she could find, and on account of her length, was able to do so easily. Unfortunately, that length also worked against her: one bystander quoted that Moon was "long enough to tag up at second without leaving first."

At the end of the season, reporters asked Moon how she planned to improve her game next season, to which she replied, befuddled: "isn't the point to lose and get to stop playing? That's when the tea party begins!"

Phantom Thief

At the same time Moon appeared in Boston, a phantom thief known only as "The Snapdragon" began stealing gems across the continent. While eyewitness accounts of The Snapdragon vary, the cases can be connected by the thief's calling card: a single snapdragon flower, left at the scene of the crime.

Moon was connected to the thief when during an away game in Charleston someone recognized her as "that scaly lady who ran away with my diamond shoes!" Despite team lawyer Businessmun Ferret's best efforts to quash the rumors, more accounts have been cropping up of stolen jewelry in the cities the Flowers played in, and a mysterious figure resembling Moon running away from the scene of the crime.

Appearance

Moon has been variously reported to appear as: a dragon, a buff human woman, a silk moth, a dragon, a small fluffy kitten, a rabbit, a dragon, a gust of wind, and a dragon. Every player on the Boston Flowers has their own theory on Moon’s true appearance. A few of the players have been quoted as saying:

"She's a dragon, guys. It’s like, not that hard to tell? She's got a long noodly body and four arms and these incredibly cool sunglasses."

Margarito Nava

"She's an absolutely gorgeous white dragon when shifted, and pretty sharp in her human form as well. I don't like her attitude though. She could at least have had the decency not to laugh out loud when I asked her about forming a lycanthrope group on the team."

Alaynabella Hollywood

"Glabe Moon? Yeah, the new player. Honestly, I have no idea. Hurts to look at. Very kind though, gave me this new necklace."

Jacob Haynes

"She's a really deft partn— we mean, uh, teammate. We wonder if she likes art. Oh, looks? Hmmmm. Like a long moth. Not like Hiroto though."

Inez Owens

"I know birds can fly. I know fish can swim. I know beasts can walk. But dragons, they are in the clouds, in the heavens, ungraspable, unfathomable. Is not Glabe Moon like the dragon?"

Zeboriah Wilson

One of Moon's most common reported forms is that of a long, snakelike dragon. She has four arms along her body, and is said to stand on one of her arms while holding a teacup and batting at the same time. She is described as having two long crescent-shaped horns, upon which her Flowers cap is stabbed. The reported patterns and colors of her scales vary, from black to iridescent blue-white, and some say the changes in her coloring follow the phases of the moon.

However, Moon herself has given no indication as to her true form, only stating, "It's obvious. Just look at me." when asked what she was. She always has a cup of tea at hand to sip during games, even when up at bat. The only seeming constant between all perceptions is that Moon wears a pair of thin half-moon sunglasses over each set of eyes.
