Box of Frankie Hambone Files

Dust billows as the file box lands on the table. While many archives in the Interdimensional Rumor Mill are unified in some way, this... definitely isn’t one of them. The accompanying Rumor Registry explains all of the contents... wherever it is... but for now you grab the folder labelled IF-19.752 and start reading...

Long ago, in the olden days of the medieval period, there was a wood. Frankie Hambone lived in that wood. There, he was a part of an ancient knighthood that guarded the forest. This knighthood that Hambone joined were the fiercest shrubbery demanding knights around...they were the Knights who say NI! The knighthood is said to have terrified those who dared to enter their territory by saying “NI!” a bunch of times. Hambone is no exception. Despite coming to Atlantis due to an accident, it is said that he still says “NI!” to intimidate opponents. Most of the time, this doesn’t work. After saying ni, the knights tended to always demand a shrubbery for safe passage. They were given to the knights as payment for protecting the forest. Hambone is said to have a massive collection of shrubberies from his time as a knight. They are very nice and not too expensive looking. Hambone’s favorite seems to have seaweed and laurels on it. Hambone arranges his shrubberies in a maze-like fashion in a park in Atlantis. This is known as the Atlantean Hedge Labyrinth. In Season β21, when the Worms opened the gate, herring appeared. These herring brought back great memories to Hambone. Memories of cutting down small trees in the forest and fighting off those who refused to get shrubberies. After all, it is well known that the Knights who say “NI!” used herrings instead of conventional weaponry. Hambone does not like using bats as a result of this and instead uses a modified bat to look like a herring.
