Crabs Poet Laureate [[Runolfio Peeper]] wrote the following poem about Best:<blockquote><poem>
Whose wood this is I think I know
His back is all of crab legs though
And from the trees he did appear
To take the stage in blaseball’s show.

The other teams all find it clear
This wooden monster we revere
Has strength to make the bleachers quake
With psychic blood and oak veneer.
