Day X

Immediately following the Shoe Thieves' victory on Day 116, The Shelled One challenged them to a new Boss Battle event against its newly formed team, THE SHELLED ONE'S PODS. Both teams had a health bar measuring their Team Spirit. Typical Blaseball game events, like fouls, strikes, and outs, were used to deal Damage to a team's Spirit. The Shoe Thieves were playing as the Home Team.

The only run from the Shoe Thieves was a sacrifice fly from Velasquez Alstott at the bottom of the 1st inning, with Richardson Games scoring. The game ended early when, at the top of the 6th inning, Jessica Telephone hit a homerun which depleted all of the remaining Shoe Thieves' Team Spirit.
The Shoe Thieves were defeated and gained + Flinch to the entire lineup, and + Mild to their entire rotation. Due to this event, the Shoe Thieves have never won the final game of a postseason, which would normally be impossible for a team with a championship title.
