History

There is much debate about how exactly Turner came to join the Flowers, though it is generally agreed that it was of his own volition. He is two years old (approximately 20 in cactus years) and has, according to most accounts, spent his entire life committed to becoming a Blaseball player on the Flowers. Though the nature of his sudden growth and apparent sentience is a mystery, his team welcomed him with open arms. To quote Beck Whitney, player and coach of the Flowers: "You try telling an enthusiastic, six foot tall super fan covered in spikes that he can't play. At first I was a little freaked out, but Castillo is a member of the team now. Don't know what we'd do without him."

When asked for a quote on his involvement with the flowers, Turner stated, "Life's a garden. Dig it." In fact, according to his team, that is what he says about everything, though they claim to know him well enough to discern what he means.

Turner strongly denies any former, ongoing, or future involvement with the fanleagues:Phoenix Cacti or the fanleagues:Tucson Cactuses as well as any knowledge of the existence of the state of Arizona.

After one of his limbs fell off, the Moss Woman refashioned it into Turner's preferred blaseball bat.
