Campos Arias is a pitcher for the Boston Flowers, and has been with the team since Season 23, Day 69. Arias has played for the Breckenridge Jazz Hands.

Official League Records

Arias joined the ILB as a pitcher for the Breckenridge Jazz Hands with the Return of Blaseball.

Arias previously held the record for pitching the longest game by innings played, having gone up against PolkaDot Patterson of the Baltimore Crabs for twenty straight innings on Season 2, Day 52. This record was broken on Season 4, Day 99, with the Protest Picnic.

At the end of Season 4, Arias was affected by the Alternate Reality Decree, resulting in a rating.

On Season 13, Day 64, Arias became a batter due to Reverb.

During the Season 18 elections, Arias retreated to the Jazz Hands' Shadows in exchange for Mikan Hammer as a result of the Jazz Hands' Foreshadow will, resulting in a combined 12.0 12.7 stat increase.

On Season 23, Day 69, The Garden Thieves' Guild stole Arias from the Jazz Hands and gave them to the Boston Flowers. On Day 73, Arias joined the Flowers' pitching rotation in exchange for Baldwin Breadwinner as a result of the Boston Garden's Fax Machine.

COMMUNITY REPORTS
The remainder of this article contains lore created collaboratively by the Blaseball community.

Template:JHLore Arias wears glasses to correct her vision, but does not have eyes. Her stare is rumored to shake the soul of even the most seasoned of Blaseballers.

Arias is famous on the Immaterial Plane as a jet-setting singer who can sing in a broad range of styles, from jazz lounge singing to operatic arias. She initially started playing Blaseball for the Jazz Hands as a way to fill time between gigs. Multiple commentators have pointed out that, despite her twice-a-week pitching schedule, she has repeatedly called Blaseball a "relaxing break," leading some to speculate on just how absurdly hectic her gig schedule must be under normal circumstances.

History

Once an unremarkable pitcher in a further unremarkable rotation, Arias shot to prominence among Jazz Hands fans due to her unrelenting performance in the infamous twenty-inning game against the Crabs.

Original Arias and Her Hearts

Arias was discovered to have eight hearts after pitching the then-record twenty-inning game against the Baltimore Crabs on Season 2, Day 52, who fielded the legendary PolkaDot Patterson as their pitcher. While the Jazz Hands ultimately lost this game, fans were inspired by Arias' unrelenting stamina and courage. After her later Season 2, Day ██ game against the Miami Dale, Arias mysteriously acquired a ninth heart. This heart was then lost at the end of Season 2, Day 102 after playing the Hades Tigers. Leading for most of the game, the Jazz Hands dugout began performing a ritual to grant Arias her tenth heart. The Tigers then tied it up in the bottom of the 8th, and ultimately shamed the Jazz Hands in the 9th, causing the ritual to backfire spectacularly.

Alternate Reality Campos

After the Season 4 elections, Arias was replaced with the Arias from the alternate reality where the Jazz Hands won against the Tigers on Season 2, Day 102, and she earned her 10th heart. She then gained an eleventh heart at the end of Season 6, Day 95, after she pitched a shut-out game 3-0 against the seemingly unstoppable Baltimore Crabs. This was also her last game of the standard season, and clinched a perfect win streak for Season 6, the first known perfect season in Blaseball.

According to interviews, Arias and the alternate reality version of Kathy Mathews originated from the same dimension. Starting in Season 5, fans of both players noticed that they were spending increasing amounts of time together. In particular, Arias was noted as the only person capable of rapidly parsing Mathews' complex formulas for communication. At last, during the Jazz Hands' Season 9 Party Time, Arias was seen gifting Mathews one of her eleven hearts for safekeeping. The two publicly confirmed their relationship shortly thereafter.

Trivia

  • Members of the Jazz Hands Band are known for chanting "No eyes, eight nine eight ten eleven hearts, can't lose" during games while Arias is pitching. The art of pronouncing the struck-through numbers is a closely held secret by the Band. They are occasionally elided from the chant for the sake of speed.
